Thank you raritea for this sample!
So truth be told I don’t think I’ve ever had “normal” earl grey. I may have had one other variant of earl grey but from what I recall there was a hell of a lot of bergamot in it. This tea though? I actually quite enjoy the balance between the black currant and the bergamot. I Think I’d prefer drinking this one over franks black currant bai mu Dan. :) I had this first thing in the morning though I generally prefer straight black tea because I have a ton of running around to do. My parents have decided to come up over Christmas so I need to pick up a few things for them. Not to mention just general shopping before everyone panics because the stores are closing for a whole day!
Good start to the morning :) thanks again raritea!
This is a great tea! I really found it was great with no additives. I prefer this over blueberry zabaglione in fact. I get more cakey out of this than the other one from frank I tried. Too bad this one isn’t a permanent tea.
This is an interesting blend. I really love the banana and cheesecake but the genmaicha is a little funny. I still enjoy it quite a bit….I’ve never had banana tea….and man I love me some banana!
Thank you Indigobloom!
I’m glad for the chance to try this, though I’m going to side with the “meh” side. It’s nice enough but not quite what I expected. I have to say as it cools off the apricot comes out even more and I like it more. It just not quite cake like.
So the funny thing about having had a lot of samples…some times you forget you’ve tried a tea until you’ve gotten a sample from someone and go to log it. haha. Picked this up from indigobloom and it wasn’t until tonight that I realised i’d already tried it. Still, it was delicious then and is still delicious now!
Thank you Rachel for a great idea surrounding 7 swans for our 12 days of christmas tea swap!
So i have to be honest…i don’t like coconut. It ruins everything lol especially shredded coconut. blech. HOWEVER…this tea is pretty good, considering my hatred of coconut :) I’m going to find a good home for the rest of my sample since i really think that this is a tea that a lot of people will love. It’s got a milky, creamy coconut thing going on that’s not overpowering…as daisychubb mentioned, it’s delicate and full of flavour all at once.
Holding off of rating this one since this is a total thing rather than the tea being bad. If i loved coconut i’d probably be putting this at an 85+.
Thank you so much for the share Rachel! I love trying new teas!
perfect afternoon tea to relax with after our AMAAAAAZING team lunch for the holidays. Most of the team is gone next week so we had a super amazing lunch at a french bistro restaurant. Can you say steak? frites? garlic mayo? oysters? red wine? and more! delicious! In any case, after getting back from that i had some much needed tea to relax with and tie up some loose ends.
Cheers to the weekend!
8 maids a milking! I am loving this tea for the 12 days of christmas tea swap. I’ve had this tea before but it’s one of those teas that i often passby because it doesn’t seem right for whatever mood i’m in. The trouble is, as soon as i actually sit down to try it, i fall in love with it again and wonder why i haven’t had it in so long. haha
This really is a wonderful balance of fruit and cream. Thank you for the reminder of how delicious this tastes The Purrfect Cup!
YAY for bold wonderful delicious black tea in the morning. I’m also working on trying the strawberry rhubarb blend that stacy has created but no longging that one…yet. I really am enjoying the unflavoured blacks from Stacy. there’s no astringency and they just have so much flavour going on.
Another mango smoothie this morning to finish up the last of my matcha. I have two unopened packages of other flavours in my cupobard so i’m itching to sip down a bit more of the ones i have so that I can open them to try them and then of course, place another order to restock my cupboard with my favourites!
Really enjoyed this one while i had it.
