6407 Tasting Notes
Is it bad that i only like this cold brewed now? Having had it both ways, my preferred way of drinking this seems to be as a cold brew. I’m nearly through my ounce and it’s been enjoyable but i also think stay has done much more amazing things with tea, so in a way i’m glad this was a limited edition. I’ll enjoy it while i have it and then move on. no regrets! :)
this was my other tea from this morning. I wanted something that was “flavoured” to go with my black teas…most mornings it’s 2 straight blacks + a flavoured in the mugs i take to work. This was just the right amount of flavour and spice and was the perfect accompaniment to the other tea this morning. I love steeping this one for close to 10 mins… When this is gone, i’ll have to pick up more…though i’ll likely get through my campfire blend first since they’re fairly similar, though this one has more depth to it from the addition of actual tea in it :)
funnily enough, I didn’t realise that i’d had this tea before via someone’s amoda box :) So colour me surprised when i saw a rating there…which i’ve since upped! This was a fabulously strong yummy cup of tea today. So i was either really in the mood for it or my tastes have changed slightly. It looks like straight blacks are my thing with the devotea, rather than the flavoured :)
I have been hoarding this tea..no longer! Today was 5 pearls for a 16oz travel mug and it was perfect. Seriously, i REALLY hope that Mandala is able to secure more of these in the future so that it doesn’t become like my beloved that i can’t bring myself to finish. :) Really though…these resteep well, and the chocolatey deliciousness of these are just awesome.
second last cup of the evening. I wanted a few more cups but felt like today was one of those days the caffeine might get to me…even if just because i had a stupidly insane work day today. So i pulled this one out and again i’m remind of what a tasty tea this is…and even though it’s more lemon than ginger, it’s still a good time!
nice…. I figured i really should try the original orzo, since i started with the caramel/honey one. I’ll also have to make sure i steal a cup of Kittenna’s strawberry orzo before she picks up her teas. :) I think i prefer soba from H&S for a normal cup of wheat sort of tea. However, the caramel/honey version of this is like a creamy cup of coffee for me and i love it. Normal orzo sits somehwere in between the two. I still love this cup, but it’s a little one dimensional…it’s like there’s something missing to push it over the edge to a wonderful cup of warm yum. still though? i’ll enjoy all of the rest of my cups…
