drank Aries by Nina's Paris

I’m basing this off the fact that wheezybee said Laurent had indicated Belier was Aries. I’m not sure if thta’s true, but the result is this is getting filed here. It’s been a few days of waiting to find out from Nina’s Paris if Belier was it’s own tea, such that i’ve forgotten much of how the tea tasted. I know that i enjoyed it a bunch but i can’t speak as to whether it was cherry flavoured. i don’t recall seeing and flower petals, as that’s more often a NO for me instead of a yay! I’d be willing to try this again when i can track immediately the taste. But i know i enjoyed drinking it, so yay!

Lala

I got the same sample. I just looked it up and aries translates to belier in French.

wheezybee

Thanks, Lala! That makes me feel better about where I posted it! The taste definitely fit, but it was the lack of all the petals (shown in all their pictures) that made me question it.

Sil

makes sense :)

drank Thé des Songes by Le Palais des Thes
4704 tasting notes

I had this earlier today and I’ll be honest in that i don’t remember much of it. It didn’t strike me as anything wonderful but it didn’t make me want to pour the cup out either. I’ve got a bit more from shmiracles that i’ll use to make a proper note of things, but for the most part this seems to be a rather bland-ish sort of tea for me.

Fuzzy_Peachkin

I felt this way about almost every tea I’ve tried from Le Palais des Thes.

SIPDOWN! So i’m “pretty” sure this is the version that Terri sent me, though there are a few version so she’d better correct me if this WASN’T the version she sent me because OMG I LOVE THIS. Yeah… that’s right. In contrast to the verdant oolong from this morning, i could drink this all day…and sort of have. I really like the fruity cocoa of this one. Seriously! yum!

MUST OBTAIN!

Onto the shopping list, this goes!

Terri HarpLady

drank Mother Of Pearl by Della Terra Teas

SIPDOWN! Thank you fiddling for sending this my way a while back. This isn’t a bad puerh/flavour blend. I can taste both the strawberry and the puerh without either one overpowering. There’s also a sweetness at the end of the sip, which i suspect is the mango coming through.

What i don’t like about this? Same as usual – get the bits of shiny crap OUT of my tea. I don’t need glitter balls to make me want to buy a tea!

I don’t think this is a re-order for me, not because i don’t like the taste but because i prefer lupicia’s chocolate strawberry in a flavoured puerh. Still though, happy to have tried this one :)

Boiling 3 min, 30 sec

drank Dark Chocolate Tea by sTEAp Shoppe

Sipdown! overall a pretty meh cup of tea but i couldn’t bring myself to not drink it. Not a re-order for me as Janet has better blends that i like way more!

Terri HarpLady

I thought about trying this one today, since you drank it, but I suspect that without sweetener it will be blah, & I’m taking a break from all sweeteners, even stevia, for at a least a few weeks to reset my tastebuds & immune system.

Sil

good plan! avoid this one then.

I’m trying to work on some of my older verdant samples since i’ve been hoarding them…especially the puerhs. EEP! I pulled this one out since it’s one of the few i have left in the silver packaging.

I’ll be sipping on this, this morning though i don’t think it’s my favourite. It’s not a bad tea but it’s not a re-order for me. that woodsy oolongy taste is overly present in this one and as such it’s not as tasty for me as it could be.

Dexter

“woodsy oolongy taste is overly present in this one”. Uh oh, need to move this one up my list to try. I think most oolongs aren’t woodsy enough. Need to break out this package soon and try it.

Sil

You may not find it woodsy enough for you. For me even small doses of that taste are more than enough for me. There’s a taste in green oolongs i can’t handle and one in roasted… if they don’t have that taste, i’m golden..if they do…meh

Terri HarpLady

It’s been awhile since I drank this one, but I remember the incense flavor of it being pretty dominant. Sometimes I like that more than others. It’s been somewhat of an acquired taste for me.

Dexter

I apparently don’t know what I like, I just got blown away by a green oolong?!? I’m still going to move this one up my list to try. “Incense flavor”, not sure I’ve run into an oolong that I thought was like incense. I love how we all perceive teas and flavors differently.

Sil

haha yeah i saw your review! that’s awesome :)

SIPDOWN! (well basically since i’m going to cold brew the last of this today to see how it goes).

Let me preface by saying I don’t like Earl Grey and i don’t like floral teas. So why did i pick this up? Well I still want to try ALL THE TEA! And i really do love LB. When i opened the package up, i sneezed. HOLY ROSE batman! I took one look at the contents and wondered what i’d gotten myself in to. While this is a beautiful tea, it’s also more rose petals than anything else. Underlying that scent though, was my LB…so i picked a few of the petals out and brewed some of this up.

The aroma of the steeped tea makes my nose feel like it’s going to sneeze. It also smells a bit like a potpurri store. I can distinguish the bergamot through the floral smells though.

First sip? FloralohhelloLaoshanBlack. Yeah pretty much like that. I have to say that the only saving grace of this tea for ME is the LB. I Can get behind the blend because i think it’s a really neat concept for those folks out there who love their earl greys. I am not one of those people. No Lala…i’m not over to the darkside yet.

What this tea DOES make me want to do, is bust open my bag of LB and have a bunch of it…but i have teas to drink to sipdown first. lesigh

Terri HarpLady

I actually enjoy this one once in awhile, although it’s been a long while since I opened the tin I’m keeping it in.

Sil

blech..not for me…apart from the LB

drank Black Raspberry by Trail Lodge Tea
4704 tasting notes

thank you terri! Finally getting around to trying this one, though i have to admit i brewed it as though it were a black tea. Oopsy! Still though! this is pretty tasty! I’ll need to try this out with a cold brew and a “proper” brew just to see how it changes. The taste is a weeee weak for my preferences but still pretty yummy!

Terri HarpLady

I still haven’t tried this as a cold brew. I like that the raspberry flavor here is actual real freeze tried raspberries! :)

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling and am currently working on trying to get my other half to as many place in the world as possible.
