6492 Tasting Notes
……blended with black tea, natural chocolate flavor, natural blueberry flavor, dark chocolate chips, cocoa nibs, natural hazelnut flavor, raspberry leaves, blueberries….
seems to me there’s just way too much trying to get it’s thing on in this cup of tea. LOL shmiracles sent some of this my way to try out. I can identify random fruity flavour that might? be raspberry cut with a little blueberry… there’s a faint hint of what i recognise as adagio’s chocolate flavour..and uh i guess? maybe there’s an echo of hazelnut. For the most part though this turns into a melange of “stuff” and sort of a vaguely fruity kinda maybe chocolate sorta cup. Interesting, but not needed in my life haha
Terri sent me this one, and the regular irish breakfast, which is fantastic because they are both two teas i haven’t had a chance to order from Stacy. I feel like i’m slowly slidding down the side of having not tried a lot of the teas on her website, where before i had tried over 70% of them! haha I am having a seriously busy work week so i barely have time to drink tea, let alone log them but i am trying!
I had this one side by side with the Irish breakfast so i could see which i prefer. I think, my initial reaction is that i like the regular one a little better. There’s a bit of an astringent note to this one along with the maltiness that makes for less of a smooth cup of tea. It’s still a good solid cup that i will enjoy drinking, but in a straight up comparison, the other tea wins out by just a little :)
another tea from yesterday and a great counteract to the other two teas i had with me at work. I probably should have ordered more than 50g of this, but i wasn’t sure how quicly i’d get through 50g as i have a ton of teas in my cupboard. Apparently the closer i get to 100 the more i start to feel like i have no teas to choose from lol. I love the vanilla/caramel in this one. It’s just so smooth and creamy and makes me happy. So glad i tried this again and loved it :)
Final Count yesterday: still 139. :)
Another cup from yesterday – I realised that in my effort to sipdown a number of my teas, there are a bunch that i haven’t had in a while. So the past couple of days i’ve been trying to pull out some of my other favourites as a reward for getting my cupboard down. I’ll have a few sipdowns in the next few days but mostly, i’m drinking what i want for the first week of april just to explore and try a few of the teas i haven’t had before. I have had this one before – it’s the reason i ordered another bag of it. This is a juicy, sweet taiwanese assam. It’s not bold of malty or in your face. Similar to stacy’s taiwanese assam but different – there is room for both in my cupboard. :)
2 more delicious cups of this left. thankfully this resteeps well if my other half doesn’t discard the tea leaves accidentally :( backlog from yesterday as it was one hell of an insane day, followed by ppl at my house and then i pretty much wasn’t feeling well so i went to bed right after they left. I love the deliciousness of this tea. I have half a mind to take this out of my cupboard and hide the last two cups somewhere i won’t find them for like a year :)
I’m pretty sure i need to try this tommorrow on it’s own. I think this one could rival or one up the caramel toffee from MF that i love. Mixed with “cream” from Tea G it’s an increadibly decadent delight. This was my reward for making my March goal :) New tea! there will be a few more new teas in the near future i’m sure just to trade off the sipdown work i did and treat myself to some of the unopened teas i have. Honestly this one? It’s just a buttery creamy mess of delicious. I am a fan of the black base that Tea G uses….so i’m also looking forward to trying the straight black that i picked up. I’ll write more when i get a chance to try this on it’s own..but really..mixed with “cream?” SOOOO good… (said in a teen girl squad voice….for those that know..)
Another tea from the morning rotation. I’ve had this one before, but today i opted to mix it with the caramel tea i picked up from Tea G as well. They were selling a decaf version of caramel cream when i dropped by the store, but really? who wants that :) So instead i picked up both teas so that i could blend them together as well as drink them on their own. I still love “cream” it’s light enough to make me feel like it’s a flavoured tea while not a tea that overpowers the base. I’m not sure i’d get this again…though on second though this would mix really nicely with some of the teas from out west that have been sent my way from bayswater or uh…the other company that i can’t think of at this particular moment in time… delicious creamy additions…
the hairs…they are chopped. snick snick. ALL GONE! well ok now all gone but there was about 10 inches removed. bwahahah but it’s still chin length so yeah. now to figure out what to do with is after i get through the beloved “after hair cut day” where your hair still looks good from the cut haha. Morning tea, from morning. Just revisiting a few favourites before i get back to sipping up old teas and samples. It helps that this falls into the older category as well :)
