i’m going to hold off on rating this because i accidentally over steeped this a little. And by a little…i really mean a little. and it’s awful. lol virtually undrinkable. i’m guessing it’s really all my fault because my swedish chef didn’t find this awful. Soooo jury can remain out on this one for now haha

oh man…bumping up the rating on this one a little because i forgot how much i like this one. It’s true..it’s an oolong and i love it. There;s plum and cherry notes in here while still being crisps and delicious and no weird oolongy taste that i hate…AND it resteeps well. mmm love this!

strangely i haven’t logged this before now, though i have had it before. Overall this is a pretty average every day sort of tea. It’s nothing to knock my socks off but it’s nothing i’d turn down either. I really should try this gaiwan style though to see if that will coax anything else out of this one. hmmm…

Another one from my swedish chef! After having this one today, i feel like maybe i’ll use the last of this to try it steeped in milk. I think the vanilla in this one really helps to make the cinnamon feel like a creamy delicious tasting cinnamon bun sort of tea rather than a ZOMG CINNAMON HEART tea ") I am quite enjoying this one :)

Another tea from the swedish chef. Note to anyone drinking this – drink it hot. don’t let it cool. I really liked this when i was drinking it shortly after brewing it. It had a unique sort of flavour going on that peaked my interest. Sadly i got distracted with doing actual work and before i noticed it, it had cooled. when cooled it has a weird floral cinnamon taste with a bit of bitter something on the side. Hot it was cinnamon and cardamon and cloves and yummy. This would be something i’d think about restocking in small quantities in the winter :) so thank you swedish chef! :)

soooo funny story about this one. While i was drinking it i kept muttering to myself about there being no strawberry in this.. and how can this be chocolate strawberry… chocolate coconut caramel sure..but strawberry??? then i came over to write my tasting note and realised i’d been drinking chocolate caramel..not sure why i had strawberries in my head lol

This was another tea from my swedish chef. she’s mine now..in case you weren’t aware. :) There will likely be a few more today as i try to get through some samples and try things. I like this one a bunch but for me, there was for sure a coconut taste hanging out in the background. It didn’t ruin things for me but it kept me from fully enjoying the chocolate caramel…still pretty good though!

Jeez, you so possessive…I does one find their own??? I know, I know…I just keep on watching Yutube, and you get to have a real one, lol

TheTeaFairy

(I meant “how” does one find their own)

Sil

You have to be very, very lucky tea fairy. I think it helps to be a heffalump

TheTeaFairy

Haha! Yes, it sure does…

Enjoyed a cup of this earlier in the morning. Not my favourite of the teas from Yunnan sourcing that i’ve tried thanks for the generosity of people, but still a tasty cup. thanks for continuing to share thsee with us terri!

oh terri. you make my harp sing..you make everything…grrooooovy. (yes i know what the proper lyrics are…)

i LOVE this tea. It was so just the thing i needed today. I brewed it western style and was drinking it while working and totally hit the bottom of the mug asap because it was so darn delicious. Plus, the leaves make me happy…they’re like little golden yellow pine needles. mmm this is so wonderfully malty and cocoa-y and just exactly what i needed while i was drinking it this morning.

Boiling 3 min, 15 sec

sipdown on this one! I’ve been drinking it most of the morning. this is a smooth tasting puerh that is slightly hoppy but mostly just really tasty haha. It reminds me a little of the puerh from manadal i really love – not so much in how it tastes but in how it feels. yeah…feels lol this doesn’t leave my mouth dry and for those who are just starting to enjoy puerhs, this isn’t earthy or muchroomy (at least to me…) and it’s lighter tasting that some of my favourites.

love getting to stay home to be productive with work. We got a note from the apartment ppl yesterday saying contractors would be propping our door open for 30 mins today as they paint our doors. Um…say what? i don’t think so..not if i’m not home! Best thing ever since the last time the same contractors were here, they did the work and then left our apartment unlocked. great cool..love that.. NOT. On the plus side? taking this time today to get through a few more teas before the weekend rolls around. I figure even though i KNOW i’m getting teas in florida, since they won’t be back until march they hardly count towards my february total…riiight? :)

This is a relatively tasty tea from tastybrew and our BBB Box. Happy to have had the chance to try at least one of joy’s teaspoons straight teas since i’ve only really had her flavoured teas. :)

TheTeaFairy

It.doesn’t.count. Love the way you think.
Now, can you help me figure out how to not count the three orders that are currently coming my way???

Sil

um… sorry.. i’m not help there. You just need to start a travelling tea box that doesn’t come back to you LOL

Courtney

I love the logic.

Sil

i actually think i’m on to something with this travelling teabox thing.. maybe something like.. it starts out with 20 teas/20 oz.. first person to get the box can take out/put in whatever they want but the box has to go down by at least one tea/oz? that way by the time i gets back to the person who started it..there’s for sure LESS tea than it started with haha

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling and am currently working on trying to get my other half to as many place in the world as possible.
