6841 Tasting Notes
bumping the rating down on this a little, mostly because i prefer vanilla citrus spice, though this one is still pretty damn tasty. I’m enjoying a cup of this tonight while i finish packaging up a few swaps and packages for tea friends to go out in the mail tomorrow. :) I do like being able to have this one any time though, especially on days when caffeine IS bothering me…not that it happens often lol
Final Count: 131 (thanks to courtney!)
huh. courtney sent this one my way and as a brand new tea! i figured it was worth the pleasure of being tasting note 4200…which isn’t meant so much as a brag, because we all use steepster differently, but more of a way of checking in with myself on how my tea journey is progressing. It will be interesting to see where i land at my steepsterversary in a few months :) I’ve logged nearly 1800 different teas tried, so i figure i’m a little up on that since there are teas that remain unlogged i’m sure.
This tea? A pleasant surprise from courtney and one that i quite like. I’m not generally a fan of green teas, but this one works for me. It’s not really what i’d call a mint tea….strawberry and fruity yes…but the mint (i assume it’s there..) is seriously muted. I feel like the mint is there, because of the way the strawberry is coming through, but i don’t really feel like there’s enough there for me to call this a mint tea. There’s strawberry and orange and bamboo…and a hint of what i’m guessing is the mint. Overall, i really like this! thanks courtney!
sipdown! I finished up the last of this today, as i’m still trying my best to get things drunk up before my second cupboard explosion of the year happens. I’ve got plenty of things that are a cup or two away from being finished so i just need to take the time to drink them! :) I still really enjoy this offering from TTC – juicy and fresh and sweet and just a good time in my cup!
this was my morning’s “flavoured” tea..though admittedly i DID add a bit of zhu rong to this particular cup, as i find the licorice root at the end of the bag is just too cloyingly sweet if i don’t add a little more something to the blend. This one is nearly done and while satisfying, it wasn’t nearly as amazing as the very first time i had this thanks to my tea sister terri.
(also, be prepared for this sort of thing sprinkled in all my notes for a while..I AM MOVING! SO…. anyone who has swapped with me in the past, i will have a new address soonish so don’t send me anything lol We’ll forward mail but i don’t want to risk anything getting returned!)
…feeling guilty for not working on sipdown tonight, i went with at least one of the teas that i want to work on getting through by July 1st. I’m still hoping that i can work through that part of my goal, even if i’m not likely to meet my cupboard size goal with all the swaps and purchases coming in the next little while. I still really like this one, especially as it’s a decent rooibos option for when i want something a little less black :)
Final Count: 129 (though there are like 6 swaps inbound, the BBB and 4 orders lol)
mmmmm another tea from our shared order that i had apres our bike ride. This is a deliciously wonderful lemon tea. Seriously..it’s fantastic. What i’m missing though? Are the actual pastry notes. It might be because i didn’t have a lot of almond slivers in this cup, so i’ll see how the next cup fares. That being said.. yes please. i love this one!
missB sent this one my way and i decided to try it out earlier today. We biked 45KM today and stupid me forgot to put sunscreen on, so my arms are a little burned. It means i haven’t really been in the mood for tea since we got back, but since i have work to do tonight before bed, i wanted to get a few more cups in before i have ice cream and liquor lol
This is a decent enough chai…still not going to beat out my favourite but the notes in this one are closer to what i tend to like in a chai. Thanks so much for sharing missb!
