I tried to have this one today but ended up largely distracted with work. Thankfully i have another packet to try again with due to Angel’s generousity. Initial feelings on this one is that it’s more vegetal than earthy. Overall it’s was a nice tea, but i really need to pay attention next time :)

Another generous sample from Angel that i’m enjoying today in an effort to get more teas closer to sipdown category :) I wasn’t sure whether i’d like this one or not, given my dislike of “rose” as a general flavour in teas. Turns out that this one is pretty tasty. The chamomile balances out the rose sufficiently for me (though maybe that’s because i picked all the really big flower chunks out of my cup before brewing…) Not sure if i’d restock this one, but i am enjoying this quite a bit. It’s a lovely evening tea for relaxing…

Apparently i tried this two years ago. I’m happy to say i had the same reaction now as i did then. TOO MUCH JASMINE lol Sorry folks, as a hater of jasmine, this tea is just too much for me. heh

TeaBrat

I know the feeling, I recall their jasmine pearl is a bit more subdued

Sil

heh yeah… jasmine has to be REALLY subtle for me to get behind it. it’s like drinking potpurri otherwise for me lol

TeaBrat

it can be overwhelming, I agree

Dinosara

No, all of the jasmine!! :D

TeaBrat

Dinosaura – it’s all you! ;)

Thank you again to Angel for the sample! I picked this one today, mostly just for a break from black teas. I don’t like drinking my greens and whites unless i happen to be in the house. Sadly, this one feel short with me – there are other white teas that i’ve had from Angel that i much prefer. For me, this was closer to “water” than a lightly flavoured white tea. :( oh well, you can’t win them all, and i didn’t hate it – just not a tea for me :)

drank Brandy Oolong, Ruby 18 by Tealux

mmmm thanks for sharing this with me Dexter I am a fan of this one. it has a similar profile to some of the TTC teas that i’ve had, but there’s an under current to this one that makes it a little heavier, and perhaps more to my liking? though i’d need to do a side by side to really figure that out. This is sweet and fruity and dark and twisty. love it! thanks dexter!

another one from this morning – splash of maple syrup to round off the deliciousness of this cup. This one is slightly smokier than the verdant smoke tea that i have, but both are delicious to me. :)

behind in my tea logging today – having a work from home day so that i can be productive and catch up on a few things before round two of travelling next week. eep. I am a fan of this one, so i’m glad that i picked up another sample with my new tea pot! :) I don’t want to fully stock another large amount of this one, so it may just be samples here and there when the mood strikes

drank Berry Party by The TeaCupany
7475 tasting notes

mmmmmm another one from the lovely dexter I am a fan of this one! it’s berries and tart without being overpoweringly so. I brewed this up hot, and also let it cool so i could get the full range of tastes to this one, and i enjoyed it all. It really is “berry” not really leaning towards one of the other. I really do need to place a tea cuppany order soon…i’m still holding on to the sample packaging of the sweet potatoe pie tea dex shared with me last year so i don’t forget to pick more of that up haha

Final Count: Finally no more tea inbound and i’m at 125. Since September is a write off for me, going to try and get to 85 by the end of this month…40 teas in 12 days. :)

Dexter

I’m a but torn with The TeaCupany – I don’t think any of their teas are BAD, but some are better than others. I agree I really like this one, and I really liked the sweet potatoe pie!!! Too many teas, too many companies. :))

Sil

How awful to be butt torn ;). Hahaha yeah, I want to place a small order with them in fall I think..

Dexter

LOL nice typo Dex…..

this was one from Indigobloom via Raritea Not my favourite. It’s not a bad tea, but it’s not really pumpkin spice, or fig. It’s like it couldn’t decide what it wanted to be and so it’s a melange of something that just doesn’t quite work. thanks for sharing though ladies! I do like getting to try new teas :)

drank Port by Whispering Pines Tea Company

Another lovely, amazing, generous sample from Dexter in my quest to try more WP teas before i make my first purchase. I know this wasn’t the tea for dexter, so i wasn’t sure what to expect. Especially since i also know that my dear teafairy enjoys this one.

After brewing this one, and trying a few steepings, i’ve come to the conclusion that i don’t know how i feel about this one. On the one handle i enjoy the complexity and the “different” feel of this tea…on the other – it’s fairly expensive a tea, and not likely something that i could afford to drink often, so is it worth it? I have other teas that i ADORE that are less expensive and bring me great joy. I enjoyed the cedar notes in this, and i really do love the base than brendan uses. I think though, that i’d be better off to splurge on another tea for the price. that being said, i did enjoy this tea and i can see why others have fallen in love with it. It’s just not high enough on my list to warrant purchasing :) At least not often heh. Thanks again Dexter!!

Dexter

You can thank Brendan for this one – it was a free sample in my order. I can’t get past the “cedar notes” (aka tree taste). This one is pricey and it might be a good thing for my wallet not to love all of them. :))

Sil

Nice. And I totally agree….

TheTeaFairy

Hehe! I’m glad you got to try it lovely girl :-)

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling and am currently working on trying to get my other half to as many place in the world as possible.
