4674 Tasting Notes
fiddling sent this to me a while back and i’m still working through all of my swaps from people. I tried this as a cold brew first to see how it fared. I have to say that this isn’t too bad. The flavours aren’t crazy strong but it’s a tasty sort of cold brew that i could easily get behind this summer – something my other half might even enjoy drinking! thanks fiddling!
Dug this out of the cupboard this morning for my black tea to take to work. This one isn’t half bad and in a pinch would work as a decent every day tea…if i didn’t already have a few favourites in that department. That being said though, it’s still a lovely tea and didn’t have any sort of astringency to deal with.
last tea of the evening as i’m trying to make sure to have a cup or two of some of the samples and smaller sizes that i have in my giant box of TEA! Mostly so that maybe I can manage a few sipdowns on the weekend from tea that will finally be good to be sipped down. Right now i have an abundance of teas that will take 2-3 days to be sipped down. This of course makes it hard to manage my one sipdown a day but i’ll keep trying!
I’m not a huge fan of this one, but i don’t hate it either. It’s for sure a creamy sort of raspberry tea. The one thing i don’t like as much is that i can taste the rooibosy flavour a little more than i like. I much prefer when the rooibos isn’t as distinctive in blends. likely part of the reason i enjoy della terra’s chiffon’s. In any case, this isn’t bad but nothing i feel the need to order.
Thank you Cavocorax for sharing this one with me!
Edit: And if you live in an internet black hole and haven’t visited www.google.com today….just go do it.
why hello there coconut, pineapple tea. I picked this up a little while ago and it just arrived. Now as some of you might know i don’t really like coconut, but i do LOVE pineapple AND i was curious about the blend that won 3rd place. I’ve had a few other winners in various categories so it’s neat to get to try them. I was able to pick this one up with a couple others for a steal and a share with kittenna.
This tea? it’s pretty darn good and i can understand why it won :) I’m not overly a fan of the coconut but i can get behind it nonetheless. I’ll likely also try cold brewing this sometime as well just to see how the flavours work out that way :) I do like how this blends with the honeybush quite a bit.
pretty sure that this tea falls into the no thanks category. I think it might actually be the espresso in it that is doing me in. While i like coffee and espresso, it turns this tea into more of a coffee type blend that it does a dark chocolate. It’s not a terrible tea but it’s not somethings that wows me at all. Also, something in the aroma of this one is turning me off a little. might have to toss my unopened sample into the swap box! Hopefully someone else will love it more than me :)
Figured that i might as well try this one tonight since prior to this i had the orange tea from della terra.
So initial sips of this one, i felt like i was drinking an orange version of cinnamon swirl bread. There was that bready taste and cinnamon in with the orange. As it cooled though, the tea became much more orangey and even the chocolate came out to make an appearance. overall, not a bad tea but nothing to re-order when it’s gone…especially since there’s my favourite “two friends” from butiki!
SIPDOWN! and i’m behind on those now i’m sad to say. I’m back up to 235 after a couple of 52 teas showed up today via my tea mule. An order from the end of May so i can’t much complain but i was making such good progress! Actually i’m mostly just bummed because most of my sipdowns will take a few days to get through. So no quick sipdowns here, though it also means i get to have fun trying some of my samples that have been hanging around waiting on me.
This one? Smells better than it tastes, but is better than the initial taste of this blend that i had. So either they changed things up or my tastes have changed. I don’t get a lot of caramel – it’s mostly an orange oolong..but i like orange so yay for that! thanks again tattoed_tea!
