5945 Tasting Notes
woohoo! this is a great green. For someone whose preferences lean towards blacks and puerhs, this is super tasty. It’s clean and crisp and delicious! Seriously. I’d consider adding this to my cupboard as one of my few green teas. just. yum. thanks fuzzy P!
edit: 160 mission accomplished for today haha
eesh first tasting note lol I hate that haha. Brewed this one up alongside pumpkin milkshake. I am not generally a fan of oolongs, so i only ordered a small quantity of this one to try it out. I have a mini mission to try all of stacy’s teas and so far, i’m doing pretty well haha. I don’t love this as much as i ended up liking the sparrow oolong i picked up from her but this is pretty tasty. It’s on the lighter side of things, with a sweetness that comes through while you drink it. mmm quite liking this one! thanks stacy!
So i didn’t realise it when i brewed my teas, but i brewed up this one along with the tea that makes the base. I tend to drink teas in pairs at my place and it’s a coincidence that i brewed the two together. I’m mostly just trying to try all of the new stacy teas in my house today so tomorrow can be a sipdown day haha.
this smells delicious. first sip? bitter. So i bounced back and forth tasting this one and the base to figure out what i was tasting. it’s not the base. i know i followed the steeping parameters so not sure what’s up here.
I added a bit of sweetner which really made the pumpkin taste POP so now it’s drinkable but i’m not in love. I’ll have to try this again and see what i might have done wrong and if it still doesn’t work for me, then it wasn’t meant to be!
Sipdown! (161) and on to the shopping list is goes. I’m supposed to be drinking down things this week but all i want to do today is look at placing orders. I blame terri – she has me looking at TTC and YS today…and then of course i’m also busy looking at MF, DF and theodor. Not to mention needing to place an order to restock this one…though i may try to hold out for a bit until i’ve got a few more teas to pick up form teavivre.
sample sipdown! (162) I figured i really needed to get in at least a couple sipdowns today so my goal is 160 so that i can spend the rest of the time drinking new teas and deciding which ones i love the most! haha That will also put me in a good spot to have 1 a day until the end of the month and STILL reach my goal (unless tea shows up from Miss B or terri or dexter…or kallieboo or…yeesh).
This tea smells lovely! it’s blood orange all the way. Drinking it though? WOAH man there is some serious tartness to this. It needs sugar to be drinkable and this reminds me more of grapefruit on the tail end of the sip…while the front end is orange.
Thanks for sharing Cavo! :)
backlog from yesterday – after work we went out to the liquor station and out for dinner AND did a bit of browsing at the jewellery store so by the time we got home i was pooped and just wanted to sleep.
I picked this one yesterday because i am DYING to try all the teas i received from stacy (it’s been forever since i had new teas from her!) and this was my flavoured pick. I need to have this again before making a final decision. It was more irish cream than cheesecake, which i think i recall seeing stacy say was what they were going for. The smell is AMAAAAAZING! It’s a smooth tasting tea. I’m just not sure if I like it. I need to sit with it again in a cup. When i’m focusing on drinking my tea, not doing work. It’s for sure not a cup i hate..i’m just not quite sure how i feel about it yet. :)
Oh Patty…you’ve come back to me. four glorious ounces of delicious goodness for me to work my way through. I love having non black tea options in my cupboard! Especially when they’re as awesome as this one. Final count for the day is 163 with my Butiki Order…that will certainly go up as well with a few swaps inbound but so far, I’m still feeling like my 150 goal is manageable by dec 31. As long as i don’t go placing another couple orders….
On this tea? Thanks for making a kick ass mint chocolate tea that i actually really like Stacy! Esp since it’s not black!
