6848 Tasting Notes
thank you charlotteZero for sending this one my way. I haven’t had an opportunity to try out many rooibos blends from MF, so this one was on my list – especially given that it’s an apple sort of tea. I will have to try steeping this a little longer next time to coax out more of the buttery apple flavour, but this one was a win in my books tonight. I have really been loving this cup while watching a bit of tv and trying figure out how to sleep and get up tomorrow. haha
Another one i forgot to review and log before vacation and now it’s a sipdown! this is another tea from missB and while i like it on the whole, better than the chocolate truffle, i want this to be just a bit more lemony and a lot more tarty. This is more of a lemon black to me as it seems to be missing that je ne sais quois that would = tartilicious! that being said, it’s still a tasty cup and i’m happy to have tried it! Thanks MissB!
Apparently i forgot to log a few teas before i left for vacation. I had this then, and now that i’m back it’s a sipdown. For the most part this is an average sort of chocolate tea. I don’t get the rich decadent chocolate that i expect when something is a truffle. It’s not a bad cup of tea but i want MOAR decadence….not this wimpy chocolate :) Thanks for sharing missb!
always on the search for more ginger teas – especially non caffinated ones, i picked this up while at bayswater. I was originally going to get the ginger pineapple, but when i smelled this one, i knew it was the way to go. This is like lime gelato from david’s tea but less sugar and more spicy kick! Again, i could handle more ginger but on the whole, this is a really tasty one. it’s got just enough ginger to satisfy me and accompanies the lime really nicely. So glad i opted for this one over the pineapple since i think that wouldn’t have been as nice.
I picked this up on my travels this past week and since courtney was stepping in to bayswater she had me go try this and report back to her lol. Not that she likely wouldn’t have bought it anyway after smelling it because this one smells DEEELICIOUS! but i was happy to report back that this one is quite tasty! There is cinnamon in this, and what appears to be popcorn. That being said, this is clearly a maple tea. But it’s maple+ lol Not sure how else to describe it really. I’m not sure if i’d call this taffy but it’s maple yum. and that’s good enough for me today!
eep! Sorry MissB this is not one for me. I tried brewing this in milk today to see if i could get rid of the weird bitterness that i wasn’t a fan of when brewed in water – it didn’t help enough. For sure the taste was improved but the spices are just the wrong ratio/blend for me. Glad to have tried it though!
mmm another sipdown from this morning. Thank you again charlotteZero for sending this my way. I’m not sure i’d have picked this up myself ever given the generic “red fruit” in the description which i’ve come to not enjoy, but this, this is delightful. I’ve really enjoyed drinking this one so i’m super glad you sent it along for me to try. Thanks again!
Another sipdown from this morning! Let me tell you after a little over a week of waking up and being able to draw back the curtains and see the ocean and mountains…today was an adjustment…hello brick wall of the other apartment building…so nice to see you. sorry we’ve missed you..NOT. lol I love this one from teavivre and will be ordering more once i get into a better position to stock up again. Malty, chocolatey goodness.
