5761 Tasting Notes
I made a cold brew of this to see how it would hold out. Final verdict? I prefer this hot, or hot brewed cooled. When it’s brewed cold, there’s a larger floral presence to the tea that i don’t love as much. It’s also not a juicy and delicious until you add a bit of sweetner. :)
justjames sent me a sample of this since i’m trying to try all the butiki teas! :) I am NOT a fan of coconut. You know what i am a fan of though? this tea! This is coconut and caramel and banana…but the banana is subtle…hiding in the sip until about halfway through and then it’s like BAM! haha I am really enjoying this one. I’ve got some more to play with so i’ll be enjoying that. I would likely purchase this is it was available as a standard tea, though given the coconut, i couldn’t drink it all the time. Thanks SO much for sharing this with me justjames Love the DR Who reference as well! :)
Terri sent these my way and i was super excited to try them out! I have to say, if nothing else these are fantastic looking when they’re brewed :) I’ve had a couple of steeps of these – they’re malty and rich and delicious! I’ve got one cone left that i’m going to use tomorrow for a mini gaiwan session.
Trying to use the steepster app as much as possible but it’s slightly challenging :) I haven’t yet figured out how to add or remove teas from my cupboard or edit teas but I do like the interface so far.
This tea was from dexter! And it’s quiet delicious. There are some chocolates notes in the background that are quiet nice, though it’s not like, say laoshan black.
Justjames sent me this as well as his custom butiki blend as a thank you for the matcha i sent his way. This has been on my list to pick up from stacy for an eternity, but since i’ve been trying to sipdown my cupboard, i hadn’t picked it up yet. I brewed this up tonight because i was exausted and wanted something to just sit and enjoy. I’ve had two cups of this now – with a cup left over to try this again over the weekend because i kept it to normal people cups haha.
I’m not sure how i feel about this one. I don’t love darjeelings, so that might be something to do with it. It’s for sure, creamy and delicious but mostly it comes across as a vanilla tea to me. Not so much with the pumpkin. I’ll be drinking this again this weekend to see if i can figure it out. A tasty tea..but not quite “pumpkin” for me….though as i sit here i wonder if that’s because i always equate ’pumpkin" with pumpkin spice…. hmmmm
thanks justjames! this was a great end to my long day :)
Morning tea! I pulled this out because i realised that i hadn’t had my tea in forever. :) I made it to the end of the week and wanted to celebrate. Here’s hoping the weekend is quiet at work! THis is still as delicious as ever and i really am happy we got the chance to make it! thanks for being awesome Stacy!
just for cavo…. finishing off the day with a cup of this tea. :)
Terri was kind enough to send some of this my way and while i’ve been drinking this tonight i’ve been perplexed. I’m not sure how i feel about this tea. It’s smooth…and then there’s this weirdo mid taste and then i’m confused again. I like it..but it’s going to need another few cups for me to land on where i feel about this one. Still glad to be trying it out though!
