7482 Tasting Notes
omgsrsly passed this one on to me. Having not had any teas from the great wall of tea company yet, i was intrigued. While i didn’t hate this cup of tea, the tea is a little on the bitter side which kept me from really enjoying the pumpkin spice aspect of things. The flavouring wasn’t terrible but given my love for the pumpkin ginger tea that terri found us, this one falls short heh thanks though omgsrsly!
mmmmm post bike ride tea! this one courtesy of YYZ and one of the few teas i have left from her generosity. First off, this smells tasty! i pick up the caramel instantly but not so much the fruit. once brewed this is a delightful caramel tea with a hint of fruit in the background. I vastly prefer THIS marco polo to the one from MF…and yes, they are totally different teas heh :)
had this one again this morning before we headed out for a bike ride. My other half is home all weekend so we’re going to try and settle down and do some wedding planning, cleaning, board game playing and some general relaxing. It’s supposed to rain all weekend in the afternoons so that should make it more doable…though it’d be nice to get two rides in this weekend.
While this is a tasty cup through a few steepings, it’s not my favourite. It was nice to try another variation on the sun moon lake theme but i do prefer the TTC ones. as always though, love trying new teas and appreciate all the teas that folks send my way!
Finally finished up my january stash of this tea and i can move on to the 4oz of Spring harvest i just picked up. I did brew up a cup of each today just to compare the two harvests. Last years harvest was slightly more malty and had slighty more cocoa notes in it…with a side of what could almost be smoke. The spring harvest is clearly a newer tea, with it’s “freshness” coming through. it IS different from last year’s, but honestly if i wasn’t drinking them side by side, i’m not sure i’d be like OMG this is so different! I do prefer last year’s slightly, but not enough to be sad that i have 4oz to drink lol with that, i only have 6 more teas from January (6 months) to finish up….which won’t happen but at least i’m working on them! :)
i tried this one as a cold brew last night and it was a little disappointing. somewhere between hot and cold is where this one should be – so maybe i’ll try hot brewing and cooling next heh. It’s not BAD, but it’s just quite as strawberry as i want it to be. heh oh well, still a good tea for summer!

sipdown on this one yesterday – finished it off cold brewed with a splash of lime juice and it was perfect :) I may think about restocking this one after i get through my lime gelato! woot woot! (thanks again dexter!) love lime drinks cold brewed in the summer, even if this one needs a bit more lime to really rock
backlog from yesterday…my other half made me go to bed at a more reasonable time because i’ve been running myself ragged, so i didn’t get a chance to finish up yesterday OR order tea :(
i had this one yesterday + cacao and it was fantastic. the perfect afternoon tea after getting to go for SOUP DUMPLINGS! haha yes i’m a little obsessed.
Dear dexter all is forgiven…at least one of the peach teas you sent me is a hit…there may be others, but this one has reminded me of why i really liked peach to begin with. That’s not to say i want an abundance of peach teas, but i had this one cold brewing…came home, drank it up – it was like drinking liquid fuzzy peaches without the sugar. IE. it wasn’t too sweet – but it was just a DIFFERENT peach flavour than the usual. So after drinking all that, i made the last of it as a hot brew and it too was pretty tasty – though i prefer the cold one :) thanks for sending this one my way dexter!
