4889 Tasting Notes
SOMEONE cavocorax pointed out that i was remiss because i hadn’t yet had tried Ruby pie as a cold brew. So i did. And i might just like it more than as a hot brew…maybe. Or maybe it’s just summer and i’m having a rough week and so this is delicious. I can’t wait for it to be morning though so i can bust out at least ONE of my new teas from terri!
and then tommorrow..it’ll be totally terri’s tea time! tada!
continuing my attempt to try and have at least one cup of 52 teas a day. I have had nothing to eat or drink all day…my work life is the suck at the moment. So now i’m home and i’m too tired to eat. But there’s tea and that’s what i’m drinking. I DID however get my tea box from terriharplady today which was about the only awesomely great thing in my day today. And while it means a significant increase to my cupboard size – it also means i have a bunch of mandala teas to try before i find a way to scrounge up some money for an order this month. :)
I cold brewed this tea and it’s a pretty good this way! it tastes like my memory of cuba libre from cuba, without tasting spot on. With a splash of sweetener it’s just a really nice cold tea.
this is also a tea that i had today – operation 52 teas! there’s a cold brew in my fridge that will have to wait until tomorrow. no sipdowns but that’s ok. i’m under 200…y? because the post office sucks. and my package that i have a notice for wasn’t there…grrrrrrrr so now i have to wait until tomorrow. which might as well be saturday all things considered.
this tea? minty white christmas-y goodness.
Another 52teas today! Operation 52 tea sipdown is in full force :) I don’t mind this one, but, as mentioned in other 52 teas notes – i don’t love it. It’s tasty but nothing i need to keep around as a staple (not that i can). i do like that this tastes like a rootbeer-ish type tea :) Not a bad start to the morning so far! though a bit weird in that i’ve started with flavoured teas :)
I realised this morning that i have a bunch of 52 teas that i don’t often drink in my cupboard. They’re not teas that i love, but they’re also not teas that i hate. Mostly they’re average teas that i just need to drink since i want my cupboard to be filled with teas that i LOVE! :)
This one is better after having sat for a while in my cupboard. I think it might be a decent cold brewed tea, though it’s not overly “cotton candy” for me. It’s more sweet black tea, if that makes sense :)
SIPDOWN! (191) thanks again nxtdoor I cold brewed this overnight and i’m sipping on it this morning while i impatiently wait for my kettle to boil. I actually like this a bunch as a cold brew – moreso than most greens that i’ve cold brewed. There is no bitterness in this brew and the fruitiness of the tea complements the sencha nicely.
Good morning hump day!
