sipdown! mostly because i really need to drink up some of these teas because HOLY THERE ARE TEA STORES IN CHICAGO! like close to the hotel…i can handle a 25 min walk for tea. I anticipate leaving early from work on monday and going to buy tea….just a hunch. I’m sure that now that i’ve said that, the world will conspire to keep me away from everything tea related but a girl’s gotta try!
this tea was less yummy the second time around but still decent enough to enjoy. not a restock though as there are others i prefer. Appreciate it though dexter! i’ve had a lovely time with these :)
I had a lovely cup of this tonight while watching fringe and trying to organise/plan/explore flight options for florida for vacation. We owe our friends a visit this year but we also have a wedding out in cape breton that will be really bloody expensive and i need to find time to get away from everything so that i actually relax. I promised my other half we’d try somewhere new this year so i’ve been trying to figure out where that should be. I really enjoyed getting to try these amoda/butiki teas. Thanks again for the wonderful gesture dexter!
apparently this has been one of the teas i keep going back to in this cold. I would have expected to be reaching for the Laoshan village chai, but maybe because i haven’t brought myself to cut the bag open, i’m going for other things. LB is back in stock at verdant and even though i have LOTS OF TEA, there’s a part of me that wants more. eep! Now to try and find a way to resist since i actually gave myself a monthly tea budget this year and i’ve already used that (like 2 days in to January) lol
I don’t really love oolongs, but it works in this blend, so that makes me happy. Maybe i can make my own version someday with just LB and uh…zhu rong!:)
Sipdown (187) and a sad, sad sipdown it is. We watched fringe tonight so i pulled this one out and it was the last cup to be had. I’m sorry to see this one go since it’s one of the tastier strawberry rooibos blends that i’ve had. What’s nice is that I’m officially sitting with a cupboard whose oldest tea is from march of 2013! woot woot! go me!Add to that that i only have 3 march teas to get through and 1 april, i’ll be into May before you know it. I’m thinking of making that my secondary goal for January. 150 teas and into May teas! (not including puerhs of course).
part of the reason i love this one so much more than frank’s strawberry pie, is the lack of cinnamon. While i don’t have a problem with cinnamon, i like that this is just creamy milkshakey-strawberry. So good…just like walter.
sipdown! (188) yeah that’s right.. i’m a sipdown crazy person today, though i’ve nearly reached my limit lol This one still tastes like melon, though i could explain what about it makes me taste melons. It seems to be a theme with me and certain pumpkin teas. heh. Still though, a delicious cup to have along side the chili we made…because it’s COLD! BOOOOOOOOOOOO!
