sipdown!(189) and that’s my one for the day since i don’t forsee any others today. I’m trying to get my 1 every day and use my other tea to try the teas that are in my cupboard that i haven’t yet tried, or that are in quantities that will take 2-3 cups. I had this one tonight while doing dishes as a latte. i think this is where the tea really shines. it’s caramel and sweet and delicious. I much preferred the latte versus the regular brew. I’d pick this up again :)

TheTeaFairy

189??? Wow, you’ve been working hard girl and i’ve been missing a lot here, congrats!

Terri HarpLady

189? I’m proud of you! I’m still trying to get down to 200.

Sil

Thanks guys! Working hard , trying to stay on of pop of my one a day at the least…

I had this in the wee small hours of the morning and i am happy with it. It’s not a blow your mind sort of tea but it does have a strength to it that i like, without being wimpy or only malty. there are some nuances here that i am enjoying. I’m glad i have a bit more to play with to see what else i can discover with this tea :) first impressions…good!

I really need to try this as a latte. I like this a bunch, though i wouldn’t want it every day. :) I like that this doesn’t hide the puerh taste but still reminds me of tiramisu. Thanks again for sharing this with us as part of the BBB Box, Boxermama!

Stephanie

Oooh, sounds tasty

Sil

it’s for sure tiramisu/coffee, rich puerh

BrewTEAlly Sweet

Oh man! (Adds to shopping list!!)

Terri HarpLady

I still have some of this too. Maybe I’ll try it as a latte tomorrow.

Morning latte! I like the vanilla of this tea. It’s not so much vanilla flavour as it reminds me of vanilla bean. I’m glad the sample I purchased has enough for several cups so that I can also try this straight. Overall this is a nice start to a rainy Wednesday morning.

sipdown! (190) awe yeah! I can so do this! 40 more teas to go until black friday and i have a bunch of samples to be able to drink up during the week along with working on sipping down other teas. heh While this isn’t my favourite tea, it’s not too shabby unless you’re a hibby hater!

sipdown! (191) I’m not focusing on sipdowns during the week but i am happy to take advantage of wanting a particular flavour and being near a sipdown :) This is a pretty tasty tea, although it’s not something i need in my cupboard all the time. I like the blend of the chocolate and almond in this one, smoothed out by the caramel taste. thanks dinosara!

Terri HarpLady

I’m jealous of all your sipdowns!

soooo for those that don’t know, earl grey cream always tastes like creamy lemon tea to me. this tea? for whatever reason, totally reminds me of that flavour. It’s still a tasty tea but all i could think of while drinking it was earl grey cream…i don’t get much in the way of toffee flavour – this is really just a lemoney creamy tea for me. thanks so much to dinosara for letting me try this one!

Cavocorax

Creamy lemon is a good thing? It can be? But I didn’t know that’s why you don’t like EG’s so much. For me, I don’t like it when it’s too “perfumy” though I’ve only found a few that did that.

Sil

earl grey cream = yummy. earl greys = yucky bergamot. blech.

Another tea from dinosara I am enjoying this one, but i have to say it’s nothing special. It’s a decent enough red fruit tea but nothing to write home about. I am enjoying this cup tonight while catching up on last season of walking dead. Zombies and “fancy tea” is always a good time haha

Hmmm. I always thought Dammann Freres was supposed to be super fancy-pantsed?

Enjoy the Walking Dead! I think we’re a season behind but maybe we should catch up again. (I yell at the tv a lot with that one, but that’s still entertainment).

Sil

cavo – we’re working through uh season 3? not the current season. We’re always a year behind because we wait for the blu ray and then watch them on our snazzy tv on our own time. ian doesn’t watch a lot of tv so it works for us

Sil

(and yes dammanna = fancy tea..well at least to us over here heh)

Terri HarpLady

We’re also a season behind on Walking dead, at least, LOL. We’re were just talking about doing a WD marathon this weekend…maybe. We’ve been so hooked on Cardinals baseball (they won again tonight!) that we’re behind on most of our shows, except the Big Bang Theory, lol.

I really enjoy this as a latte. Had a giant mug of this after getting home from work while waiting on dinner. I don’t like it straight, but as a latte there’s enough creamy deliciousness to make this a whole lot better!

Funnily enough, I also picked this one out of my cupboard today. Maybe Terri and i were operating on the same wavelength today or something. :) In the grand scheme of things, this is an average tea. It’s certainly not worth the price in my opinion (9.50 per ounce). Not that it’s an outrageous price but LB is cheaper than that, as is #49 (which is super cheap at 2.50 an ounce or something?) or teavivre’s black dragon pearls etc… long story short, there are better for that price. :) However, i certainly didn’t pay that price as i got a super awesome deal on this one, which makes it much easier to swallow. HA! get it.. yeah… in any case, there’s an astringency here that i’m not a fan of but it’s not so much that i can’t enjoy this tea today. :)

keychange

ha! saw what you did there!

Sil

yeah i’m a dork. :)

Terri HarpLady

:)
I enjoyed it with breakfast. There is a very bright upper edge that would have made my tummy hurt if I drank it without having food, but yeah, not worth a high price tag.

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling and am currently working on trying to get my other half to as many place in the world as possible.
