8160 Tasting Notes
bumping up the rating on this one a little because today, it was positively perfect. Seriously…i am a fan of a number of WP’s straight blacks…possibly even more so than his flavoured blacks :) I’ll have to look at restocking this once i’m through more of my WP teas…still have a few months i can hold off for i think…..maybe….
Final Count: 83 (thanks to Cameron B mostly!)
EEP! i finished up 1 of my two bags of this today and that makes me a sad panda since it means i’ll be running out soon. This is hands down my favourite tea from nina’s – i think largely in part because i’m a)not a fan of their rooibs and b) don’t love “red fruit” as a flavour regardless of which tea company it’s from lol However, this tea is enough to keep me coming back again and again to Nina’s. love the vanilla, creamy, genmaicha flavour!
noms. tea for today to get me through the day. Verdant is hopefuly going to be posting blends this weekend, so i’m excited for that….though less impressed with the CAD $ being at a record low in 5 yrs… that makes tea buying EXPENSIVE damnit. :(
received teas from cameron and damn fine tea today so that’s exciting…even if it means an increase in cupboard size heh.
noms! I have thoroughly enjoyed this one. Made a cup of this after dinner – my other half is going to be working most evenings this week so i’m on my own a lot. I really like that this is sweet with a kick of spicy. I’ll be picking up more of this in future – I really like this type of tea in the evenings while reading a book or relaxing.
mmm i keep forgetting to write notes on this tea. I’ve had it a few times now and figured since i’ve shared a little of this with a few people, i should get to writing a note on this one. this is an interesting tea. it reminds me of “red rose” from my chilhood but a better quality lol. this is more of a milk and sugar sort of tea for me with a rich thickness to it, a slight bit of malt and a brightness here that i could see turning bitter if over steeped.
i need to remember trying this steeped in milk before i’m actually finished with it. While this is an excellent chai, it’s still not my favourite. I generally find myself pulling some of the cloves out, because there are a few too many for my tastes. I so like the sweetness of this one that goes along nicely with the peppery sort of spiciness to it. for sure happy with this one from WP :)
