drank Strawberries & Cream by Simpli-special

thank you kittylovestea for sending this my way! No steeping parameters on the bag so i went for 3 mins to see how that worked. I think my taste buds are on strike because this tastes like chocolate to me. lol I get a bit of strawberry from this but mostly it tastes like a chocolate cream tea. I’ll have to play around with this…it’s pretty darn tasty but it’s uh not really strawberry to me lol

Boiling 3 min, 30 sec

sipdown! thanks to courtney for sending this along. I’d only had this in the store as a sample, and i can confirm that now that i’ve had a chance to brew it on my own…i still don’t like it. lol it’s just not for me. ah well, glad to have gotten to try it again.

Another sipdown for the evening! (273!) I like how tasty this is for a tea bag. Not to mention it’s another nice to have in the evening sort of tea for those nights or days when i don’t want my usual black. thanks again kallieboo!

drank Rhubarb + Custard by Bluebird Tea Co.

mmmmm sample sipdown! I have to say this is delicious! I am really enjoying this one from bluebird. I think this can safely go on the list as one to have in my cupboard at least occasionally. It smells amaaaazing! and brewed it is sweet and custard creamy like and slightly sour. I love how tasty this is, and the fact that it’s a rooibos that doesn’t have that woodsy taste is awesome!

Boiling 7 min, 0 sec

Soooo funny story about this tea. I’ve gotten probably 4 of these as samples from verdant and each time I give them away because let’s get real here….jasmine? Green? Flowering? I think not. S when another showed up at my place via cavocorax I had to laugh. I took it as a sign that I should just try the darn thing. So I did. It’s MUCHless jasmine that I thought it would be and isn’t overly floral. I still don’t love it, but its not nearly as terrible as I thought it would be given my taste preferences. Soooo a win? Or at least not a loss…plus…sipdown! Haha

Terri HarpLady

I’ve steeped a couple of these, & keep trying to give away the rest, LOL. It’s not bad, but I’m not really into the blooming tea thing. The first couple of times I had a blooming tea, it was kind of a cool ohh, aahhh experience, and maybe kind of fun for a novelty for a guest, but NEXT!
I’m guessing these didn’t sell that well, because they were the free sample in every Verdant order I placed, over & over again.

Dinosara

I got one of these as a sample and then specifically requested not one of them as a sample in my next order. I enjoyed it fine, but like you Terri, I am not really into the whole flowering tea thing.

Fjellrev

This one surprised me. Jasmine borderline frightens me and you’re right, the jasmine was super calm.

Cavocorax

I sent it to you? Ha! I wonder where I got it from!

Cavocorax

I wonder if this is the fruitcake of tea. Sounds like Terri’s passed some of hers around too.

Sil

lol i think it is…at least where verdant is concerned.

Tealizzy

Lol! I still have mine. Haven’t steeped it yet cuz it’s so fussy!

Had a few infusions of this today as well since the power issue was making green resteep teas the easiest to deal with. Still enjoy this but as always, this one small bag will likely last forever unless I consciously try to drink it more often. Silly greens!

SIPDOWN! Not sure where my previous notes on this one went but thanks to raritea for letting me having some of this a short while back. This isn’t bad. It’s fruity and light and refreshing.

Ysaurella

so the tea is better than the picture…it looks so weird on the small pic…

Sil

ysurella – yes but i don’t think it’s a tea that you’d find enjoyable :)

Ysaurella

…means I won’t be able to taste the TEA ? ;)

Sil

exactement!

mmmmm thank you cavocorax for sending this my way. Though it looks like YOU need a few tasting notes on this one :P This is actually a pretty decent green as far as they go. Cavo sent this to me along with some other teas from murchies so that i could get a sense as to whether they’re a company for me. I’ve sadly never shopped there even when i was in vancouver/BC and I’m mostly not pleased with their almost total lack of sales and shipping costs within canada. BUT if i can try a few, i can pick some up when i’m out in B.C next :) My memory of this one is kind of foggy but i did like it. more detailed notes the next time i’m drinking it and it’s not power outage day lol

Another sipdown! While this isn’t a bad tea it is for sure a winter tea. I’m not overly a fan of black spiced sort of teas in the summer. Still though, a decent enough blend that i could take or leave from upton.

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling and am currently working on trying to get my other half to as many place in the world as possible.
