6482 Tasting Notes
thank you Tastybrew! This is another of the BBB Box offerings that came my way a little while ago. This might? be one of the first teas that i’ve had from the California Tea house and it’s a pretty decent tea. I’m not sure that it knocks any of my top contenders out of the running but it’s a really nice sweet, chocolately, slightly malty sort of cup that suits me quite nicely! Thanks for sharing TB!
I figured with the obscene amount of tea i keep picking up, I should get cracking on the teas from the BBB Box today since life is conspiring against me getting enough work done.
This is a decent enough tea, though i’m not in love with it due to the dryness that is left in my mouth while drinking it. I brewed this western and didn’t get any of the notes that Tastybrew did, so I’m going to hold off on this one until i have a chance to brew it gaiwan style since this particular tea might be best suited for that. Either way, still an enjoyable cup, but left me with a dry mouth. :)
last of the backlogs from friday. My second tea for travelling. It’s sweet delicious caramel taste was just what i needed. We had a blast on friday night, driving out to detroit and then seeing friends for the first time. We got to hang out at the pub, listen to great music and have some great laughter before tucking in for the night. go go impromptu road trips!
Another backlog from friday – one of two teas that went on our road trip with me to get me from toronto to detroit. I knew we wouldn’t have time to run around findind water for me, so i just brought the two travel mugs for the trip and then went nearly the entire rest of the weekend with no tea. eep! it sucked. haha but this tea? Still loving’ it’s juicy tastiness.
back log from Friday. I had this just to try it out because i really wanted a keemun, but wasn’t prepared yet to go through my entire keemun comparison. I’ve had this a couple of times now and while it’s tasty, i still prefer the other version that teavivre does. That being said all of their keemuns are in my house now, so i’ll be doing a full comparison/battle of the best in the near-ish future :)
Why there you are, you delicious dark chocolate indulgence in a cup. Where HAVE you been? Oh that’s right, i’ve been saving you, to savour every last drop of you. well today, i just wanted a taste. Just a reminder of the sweetness between us. The way your rich, dark, chocolate goodness surrounded me. You make any day incredible.
Dear Verdant. Stop with the 1 min steepings for all the blends. kthnx :)
I see why some folks are not as fond of this one as some of them. I am A-ok with this one though. it’s not my favourite, but it is an interesting mix up. I’m actually curious as to how this would fare as a cold brew. Only thing i want a little more of is the lemon. :)
Sipdown! Look out Cavo…i told you i was on a roll! 162! Only 12 more in uh…8 days! Though I suspect I won’t be drinking much tea Sat/Sun. So 6 days! Of course then it will be February and the tea festival will be there and if i’m in chicago then i may end up picking up some there.. sigh but hey.. progress is good!
This one reminds me of another tea i had a long while back. This isn’t my favourite sort of rooibos. This is that woodsy sort of rooibos that tries it’s best to overwhelm the flavours. It doesn’t succedd entirely with this one but it’s enough that i still want it to go away a little. I’m still searching for a replacement to my “Walter bishop” it seems. Maybe Stacy can make one for me someday…
