5236 Tasting Notes
I cold brewed this the other night to see how it worked out. Seems that this is a tea better suited to hot brewing and then maybe cooling it off to drink cold. It’s not bad this way, but i prefer the hot brew i made the other day. good to know though as i do like this one from terri :)
Thank you fiddling! I made a cup of this today to help kick start my day. After yesterday’s cleaning and running around, we’re just hitting costco today and then maybe playing some board games to relax once we get home. We bought two new ones yesterday and there are a few in on the shelf we haven’t played through already. lol tough part is finding friends who are willing to come over and play a game for an hour or so…so sad!
However, since both my other half and i are only children, we have no issues playing through a game on our own with ephelant and helen the corduroy dinosaur. :)
This tea? not bad, though there are other chai’s i would drink first. I think this one might be better steeped in milk with a splash of honey so that will be the next way that i try it :)
SIPDOWN! (222) Another i finished off yesterday that was delicious! I actually tried this one in my new ZOKU slushie maker and had a blast with it. My next attempt will be at a creamier sort of tea i think. Maybe some of those mint teas + milk heh.
Overall, i’m happy with this one as a rootbeer tea and might even consider re-ordering if it ever comes back :)
I’m going to have to give this one another try later since pretty much my feeling on drinking this yesterday was YAWN That’s right…I picked this one up to see if it was something i could offer my parents as a replacement for some of the UBER expensive teas they drank in Paris. Sadly this in no way compared to those. If anything, i’d prefer to be drinking water from a spring. At least i’ve got a bit more to try with again.
Ick. Not sure if it’s just my sample but this had an abundance of coriander, which i like just fine but in this cup from yesterday, took over everything. There was barely any mint presence or even that familiar laoshan green taste. I’ve got some left for trying a cold brew with but unless this is just my sample, this is not the tea for me. I expected a more balanced blend of mint, green, coriander and cardamon.
Had more of this yesterday – really enjoyed getting to drink a bunch of tea yesterday while “spring” cleaning the entire house. Next few weeks are going to be a bit crazy and we have a friend coming up to visit us at the end of the month so we wanted a good solid cleaning done to make life easier for the time being. This helped me wake up and get going right away :)
