pretty sure the version i have is not this version, as there are goji berries in it…but i am lazy tonight, and i don’t think anyone has entered this version in to the database. it’s insanely late..just got home from work team building exercise but i drank this waaay early today. Still not enough tea in me to make me a happy camper…yet but it’s a start. Tomorrow i should be home earlier in order to be able to sit, work at home and get in some evening tea. This version is tasty, but not as much as the original version i tried…but certainly not bad!

Terri HarpLady

I also liked the previous version better, I think there was alot more ginger in it, for one thing. But that was a year or so ago…

Helena

Yu lu yan chai had elderberries and goji berries in it if I recall. I don’t remember any being in the laoshan village chai but I would have to look.

lteg

That’s funny, neither version I can find on Steepster now mentions Goji berries (one of them used to), but the Verdant website (and my own bag of it) has them.

Sil

Sorry for the. Confusion. I KNOW my version is not this one. This is the new winter version they made with goji berries. I was just lazy last night and didn’t want to add the new version to the database. Verdant changes their blends up seasonally.

Soooo i haven’t had any tea since Sunday. When i woke up this morning i knew i needed a couple of old favourites to get me through the day since my next few weeks are going to be a little crazy. Got in last night, and now i’m at an offsite for two days which means the work is piling up! There’s a release over the weekend and then i’m back on a plane for a couple of days, which means more work piling up. Long story short…looks like there will be some overtime for a while! eesh.

This is such a wonderful tea to kick off my time back in Toronto. On the upside, i think the team is going bowling tonight which will be awesome! even though all i want to do is go home and sleep haha.

TheTeaFairy

Gee, welcome back busy woman!!!

TeaBrat

No tea since Sunday? How did you survive??

Kamyria

No tea since Sunday? But… but… it’s Wednesday today! Welcome back!!

Cavocorax

Overtime means more money to buy tea!
(Or, I guess for your wedding…)

NofarS

At least you made it through and it’s all behind you now. Curl up with a nice cuppa and forget your tealess days in a puff of aromatic steam.

Fjellrev

Nice choice, especially since you’ve been hella busy! When you have the time, make sure to go through my cupboard and pick stuff out that you’d like to try so I could return the favour and send some back your way. :)

Sil

oooh i’ll try and take a look this weekend before i leave again. maybe this time my hotel room will have a damn kettle!

sipdown! figured i needed a heartier cup of tea to get me through the airport times so i drank this up before leaving. I’ll be glad to get back to my cupboard soon!

I love this tea, I think I have had like 4 cups today…once I start drinking it I just can’t seem to stop.

Helena

yep definitely a very tasty cup of tea!

had a cup of this to work on getting through some of my smaller amounts of tea. An enjoyable cup of pear tea, though nothing to knock your socks off and write home about :)

Lala

Did you ever find the perfect pear tea?

Kamyria

I have never had a pear tea… Something I definitely have to try because I love pears. :)

Sil

Lala…not yet but i’ve had a number of delicious ones. This one is pretty tasty…and i think it was upton’s? that i liked…or maybe it was steeped and infused. something like that. heh but perfect? not yet :)

sipdown! Thank you missB for letting me try this one. I’m glad that i didn’t buy a whole tin of this as it’s a little floral for me but not so much that the occasional cup of this wouldn’t be enjoyed. Subtract a little of the rose flavour and this would be a total hit for me! thanks missb!

another sipdown for today (178) as i’ve been drinking this with focus this morning, running through a number of steepings to decide where i land on in terms of this one. Final verdict? While this is a lovely oolong, it’s still an oolong for me. So the rest of this will be going to a couple people whom i think would love to try this one.

sipdown!(179) this was one of the samples that Kallieboo! sent my way in our international christmas card swap. I have had mixed success with darjeelings but this one is wonderful! There’s a fruitiness here along with the muscatel taste. Unlike some darjeelings, there is no astringency or bitterness. I have a little bit left, which i’ll be sending over to terri to try as i think she might like this one as well :) thanks Kallieboo!

Ysaurella

so agree ! I loved this one so much, unfortunately impossible to find in Europe.

Nicole

This seems to be a darjeeling for people who aren’t enamored with darjeelings or have had bad experiences with them in the past. :)

Ysaurella

nice to begin with yes ! but now I found several Darjeelings I really enjoy :) must try Margaret’s hope now

sipdown! (180) my other morning tea while i run around panicked that i’ve forgotten something :) This morning this is malty with an edge to it that i don’t love. I don’t think i’d restock this tea even though it’s not a bad tea. just not one of my favourites. I’m happy to have been able to pick up a few teas from world of tea while in ottawa though and it looks like my dad has found it as well, since he bought be two more for christmas heh

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling and am currently working on trying to get my other half to as many place in the world as possible.
