Had this to drink today while i was out trying to help some friends get some pictures of the two of them and the baby bump, before the kid pops out. I tend to take pictures of scenery, so it was a challenge for me, i did better than i thought, but man, full props to all the portrait photographers out there who are doing more than stock posing. they’re short on monday and sadly non of our actual photographer friends could help out, so they were stuck with me. At least we had some fun being outside and i think? i caught a few good ones. The tea certain helped with making me feel better haha

Pulled this one out this morning to drink. Still one of my favs that i picked up in terms of straight teas, in Paris. I relaly should drink this more often as it holds up well to mlutiple steepings.

drank 1994 Aged Bai Hao by Butiki Teas

Now that my cupboard is trending nicely to where i want it to be, i’m trying to focus on my older teas. I REALLY don’t want to finish this tea as it might be my favourite roasted oolong ever. just wish there was another source of this one because damn it’s tasty!

eastkyteaguy

I don’t know how it stacks up because I have yet to try it myself, but Tealyra currently stocks a 1994 Oriental Beauty.

Sil

will have to try it out! thanks for the suggestion

Liquid Proust

I can somewhat help you with finding others… this too was something I loved and now miss.

Sil

@LP – thanks.. if you find one that’s close, let me know. So far all the ones i’ve tried have been either more oolongy…or lacking in the nuances of this one.

NOM! love this dragonwell. Tigress_Al sent this to me. I’ve had it before but it was so nice to revisit. I tend not to stock green teas in my cupboard because i drink them so infrequently. this is just a great cup of tea…fresh, sweet and lacking that totally vegetal quality i often get tired of. thanks madam!

drank Cardamom French Toast by DAVIDsTEA

Picked this up yesterday as a latte from David’s tea. It might be one of the few to go cups i’ve ever picked up from them. So needless to day, i was surprised that they make their latte’s by steeping the tea first and then adding it to the milk. I guess that’s never occurred to me, since at home, i just steep straight in to the milk haha Made for a weaker cup than i prefer, but it still still a nice afternoon treat!

Kaylee

I have literally never steeped directly in milk! How do you heat the milk up?

Sil

haha i warm the milk in the microwave then steep the tea in it

Shae

For the same amount of time listed on the package or longer? I might try this myself!

Sil

i usually steep it for a little longer, which is maybe why i think david’s teas latte was a little weak for me :)

Evol Ving Ness

Sil, inquiring minds are wondering whether DTs has changed the CFT formula from the first appearance of the tea.

drank Caramel Pumpkin Cheesecake by 52teas

I’ve been drinking this off and on…usually forgetting to write notes. This is the version from new 52 teas and i find that it’s much more of a creamy cheesecake blend than pumpkin, caramel. Overall tasty, but not what it used to be.

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling and am currently working on trying to get my other half to as many place in the world as possible.
