7475 Tasting Notes
noms. Sample from evol ving ness Contining my journey to try and get to 120 by the end of the weekend – which i will totally include monday since it’s a long weekend :) this one is pretty tasty! lemony, slight hint of vanilla, overall a really calm and soothing cup of tea. If i could have sweetner, i think this would be fantastic with just a splash of honey in it to make some of the flavours pop. there’s an underlying taste here that is a little sour that i love. thanks evol!
sample from evol ving ness Dry, this smells amazing. The pineapple in this one smells divine! Reminds me a lot of butiki’s pineapple tea. However, brewed, this is…not even sort of close. I mean, i guess it’s drinkable but i can’t even place this flavour. I suppose it’s the marshmallow but man i wish the pineapple translated in to this cup from the smell it has dry. oh well. win some, lose some. thanks evol! esp as i was hoping i could have purchased this one.
Farewell tea! Glad i had an opportunity to pick this one up as part of the holiday teas from 52 teas. While it wasn’t initially high on my list of yum, it’s grown on me the more that i’ve had it. I’m still not sure it’s “gingerbread” to me but it is delicious and comforting on the start of this very cold weekend.
Final Count: 133
Another one from evol ving ness this one is a little disappointing. Really nice hojicha flavour but the pumpkin flavouring is insanely subtle. there are hints of cinnamon but overall this is more like a plain hojicha than it is a pumpkin one. Thankfully, i like the tastes, so it’s an enjoyable cup of tea. Thanks evol!
Sample from evol ving ness this one…not so sure about. I had a hard time getting past the scent of this one – it was coming across as really floral. in the sort of “shoved my head in potpourri” sort of way. Drinking it, was a little better than that though..and the flavour was closer to lychee. I actually think this is a pretty decently “lychee” flavoured tea, but i can’t quite get past the smell :) thanks for letting me try this out evol!
Sample from evol ving ness I’m’ trying to use this weekend to get through a chunk of the samples that i have from various tea friends so that i can gt organised for the rest of the month in terms of hitting my tea weight goal :) this one smells lovely. I’ve had it before but that was 2? years ago so it was nice to revisit. I rather enjoyed that this one wasn’t a total strawberry mess. the black base is present and adds to the flavour, strengthening it somehow so that it’s a “heartier” strawberry taste. thanks evol!
not a bad cup for this morning. I don’t ADORE this tea, so i’m glad that i’m getting around to finishing up the last of this. It’s interesting and it’s always nice to try new things but i won’t be upset when this one finally leaves my cupboard. What’s great is the price since i picked this one up in paris when our dollar was doing well – it was cheaper than a number of straight teas i typically stock from companies here :)
delicious morning tea. I’ve got a super long weekend ahead of me with work so i’m working from home! Made egg muffins last night as my other half had to be at work for 5am and they’re not half bad. I wanted to sleep in today, so had a couple instead of making “freshh” breakfast. This tea is totally hitting the spot for me. just a hint of smoke, a little astringency but mostly just a downright good cup of tea. Looking forward to picking up a tin of this for myself at some point, but need to get my cupboard under control first…maybe finish off a couple of my other damn fine teas as well since i have all of them but one? in my cupboard at the moment lol
