another cold brew tea courtesy of dexter let me first start off by saying that unlike the one that David’s tea came out with recently…this smell of this one doesn’t make me queasy. I cold brewed this one and while it looks similar to the one from DT – it’s a much nicer brew. :) also the giant chunks in this one are kinda fun! thanks a bunch dexter!

Final Count: 117 (22 left to go for anyone counting lol)

Oh, I so loved this one…This is what I call a REAL fruit blend!

Another cold brew of this one tonight – had a few glasses of this today and it was fantastic. Exactly what i needed after our morning bike ride. I have to say, i’m not sure if i’d call this rhubarb but it was tasty and so that’s all that really matters in summer with cold brews lol is it tasty? check. drink it! :)

I agree – not really rhubarb but still tasty. :))

I love the name of this one.

haha this was another tea i had with dinner earlier this evening sent to me via missb her review sort of sums up the way i felt about this tea. A little too floral for my tastes as that’s all that i really got from the cup. Oh well, at least i had the chance to try it! go go new teas! thanks missb!

Where has MissB been?

I’ve wondered about her too. Maybe busy in the summer ??

She’s been travelling and keeping busy over the summer. Oh to live her life! :) she’s still doing well :)

dexter sent this one my way and i made sure to try it before reading any notes on it or figuring out what was in it. For me – this is a REALLY cherry green tea. I’m not getting much in the way of almonds but this is refreshing and very much a cherry cup of tea heh. On the whole not a bad cup of tea, especially since i am a fan of cherries! :) thanks dex!

I love this tea’s name!

drank Handcrafted Oolong by Justea
7861 tasting notes

cavocorax sent me this one to try from Justea . I really like what Justea is doing so i’m always happy to try their teas to see if there is one that really knocks my socks off that i can get behind. Given this was an oolong, i was pretty sure this one would do the trick but i’m open to anything! :) On the whole, there is nothing about this ooolng that rocks my socks, but nor is there anything overly offensive that i don’t like. it’s just a middle of the road oolong with no bitterness or astringency, with some floral like notes hanging out in the background that i suspect would come forward as you resteeped this a bunch :) thanks cavo!

Oh good! I still had a note somewhere that I need to share this with you so I couldn’t remember if I had or not. I also have that RiverTea to send your way. :D

I received this as a sample in my pre-order verdant order. It’s not one i would necessarily order, but i’m happy to try greens every now and then. this green tea is sweet and creamy. it’s not overly vegetal but it IS clearly a fresh green tea. thanks to verdant for letting me try this one!

eep…yeah this one was a no go for me as well omgsrsly I tried a lower temp and a shorter steep and it was just not doing anything for me :( thanks for letting me try it though ‘cause it’s something i would have been drawn towards!

Yeah, I had high hopes. :( Thought maybe you’d be able to make a go of it!

drank Random Steepings by Various Artists

of all the puerhs i chose to drink today, it had to be the one not in my cupboard and not on steepster. heh the lovely boychik sent me a sample of “2010 Haiwan Ultimate Flavour” and i couldn’t tell you if it’s on here or not haha. On the upside, my puerh drinking today was a little interrupts (in a good way) by the lovely raritea coming over to visit before she leaves on a grand adventure across the pond, so my notes on this are a little sketchy.

On the whole i remember this one coming across as very earthy and quite “heavy.” even after multiple steeps it was still a very thick, full bodyied tea that left me feeling like i stuck a mouthful of earthy goodness in my mouth. not so uch dirt..but earth. that deep amazing earth you can sometimes get in the garden with great composting. a very enjoyable experience, even if i wasn’t so hot at taking notes lol thanks again boychik i will eventually get through all the amazing samples you sent! MUST. TAKE. TIME. FOR. SELF!

I think that’s what it is
Probably no entry

drank Pumpkin Spice by Great Wall Tea Company

omgsrsly passed this one on to me. Having not had any teas from the great wall of tea company yet, i was intrigued. While i didn’t hate this cup of tea, the tea is a little on the bitter side which kept me from really enjoying the pumpkin spice aspect of things. The flavouring wasn’t terrible but given my love for the pumpkin ginger tea that terri found us, this one falls short heh thanks though omgsrsly!

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling and am currently working on trying to get my other half to as many place in the world as possible.
