thank you Shmiracles! I’m trying to get into some of my swap samples that i have been neglecting, especially since they’ll be quick-er sipdowns than my large bags of tea lol

Another green tea for the afternoon…crap work calls. more in a bit.

yeah that’s right…working from home and getting lots of tea in. Which suits me fine because it’s a miserable yucky cold and dreary day out there.
I am really sort of digging how juicy this tea is. this is a light green without that onverly strong vegetal taste. overall, quite nice.

Another one from terri! (sipdown) I feel like i’m in the home stretch with those, though i have apparently really neglected the awesome swaps i received from fiddling and shmiracles heh opened up my swap box to pull new ones out and there were a bunch.

This is a nice middle of the road sort of roasty oolong. there’s a woody feel to this one and it leaves me mouth a little dry but over all it’s pretty tasty. I do like that it’s not overly charcoal feeling and the aroma of the leaves is pretty pleasant.

SIPDOWN! This really is a nice green tea. I pretty much enjoy how the flavours mix with the green tea. I appreciate that terri included this one in our swap as it’s not often that i get the chance to try a variety of greens. :) Thanks terri!

Inspired by starfevre’s posting of this, i figured i might as well try the last of my sample of this one. While it’s a nice enough cup of tea, I very much prefer other oolongs, and am finding i need to be in the mood for darker oolongs. Nice enough to try, though not enough to keep in my cupboard. (sipdown!)

mmmmm…another chai i figured i should try this morning since it’s a colder spring day today and i much prefer drinking chai when it’s cold. Let me first start off by saying that this smells like licorice. Black licorice. Which happens to be my favourite. Jelly beans? gimme the black ones! Again, i didn’t add anything to this, preferring to keep it simple and straight but i might be tempted to in future just to see what’s what. Thank you boxermama for this delightful and unique creation!

Oooh. I ordered some of this! I can’t wait to give it a try!

it’s a little intense in flavour for me to want a HUGE cup of it in one sitting but it is delicious!

Yes! The next time I’m going to add some sort of milk just to mix it up a bit! So yummy!

Terri HarpLady

Stacy sent me a sample awhile back, & of course, I love licorice, so I ordered some last friday. I think it’s suppose to arrive tomorrow :)

I prefer it with milk and sugar, as with any chai. I’m glad people are enjoying it though! :)

I’ll be trying it with milk and honey eventually :)

drank Lemon Meringue Chai by 52teas

mmmmm thank you Cavocorax I was hesitant about picking this one up from Frank as i haven’t had a lot of success lately with the blends that i’ve picked up. So when Cavo offered to send some my way to try I was excited! I’ve missed my opportunity to pick this up, which is a little sad but i can safely say that this is pretty darn tasty!

I brewed this up in my usual 52 black base fashion – 2 mins, lower than boiling temperature. The tea is a nice lemoney chai. The spices aren’t too overpowering and the lemon stays present throughout the entire cup. Not that i typically add milk or honey to my chai’s – i think in the case it might make the cup even better with the addition of a little sweetness. I’ll have to try that next time!

thanks cavo!

drank Walter Bishop Honeybush by 52teas

mini sipdown! (back to 250) I finished off the last of my first bag of this so that’s progress. I still have an entire unopened bag of this from a swap with JackieT because she didn’t want it. Me on the other hand? I love this for whatever reason. It’s strawberry cream and delicious!

….and if anyone has any they want to get rid of, just hollar! :)

I agree that stuff is good! I have a brand new pouch that I’m delaying opening until I finish some of my other teas. I know as soon as I open it, I’ll want to drink it every night.

sigh I miss Walter Bishop. :( I miss Fringe.

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling and am currently working on trying to get my other half to as many place in the world as possible.
