6160 Tasting Notes
HGTTB caramel? Yes. Apple? not really. I did brew this at the lower temp suggested on the bag and i’m glad I did as i’m fearful that at boiling this would be overly bitter and undrinkable. At 180 it’s pleasant enough but just not really very caramelly or appley. It’s a decent cup though and as always i love trying new teas :)
HGTTB not too shabby. I have had other instances of this tea from other companies before, so going in to it i knew it wasn’t going to be my favourite sort of black tea. However, this one isn’t bad…it’s just not what i prefer. It’s bold, and strong but there’s also an astringency here that i’m not a fan of.
HGTTB Pretty sure that tiesta teas just don’t work for me. If there isn’t coconut in this, then something has gone off like coconut sometimes does. This isn’t very chocolatey to me…it comes across largely as a creamy coconut tea…there’s a hint of chocolate but i’ve had other chocolate teas that i vastly prefer. good to try out though!
I didn’t realise this was an earl grey + berry tea. I, as a general rule don’t like most earl greys…that damn blergamot you know. :( However, this was an interesting blend with the addition of the berry. It would never be something i’d need to stock but it was a fairly enjoyable cup this morning. the base didn’t overwhelm and there was no bitterness or blah to the tea.
I had this last cup of this one last night and was pleasantly surprised. This was a a relatively nice evening herbal. It’s nothing to write home about but in the grand scheme of things it was a nice chamomile/mint herbal. I didn’t get a lot of the citrus flavours but the vanilla did seem to smooth out the blend.
I finished off the last of this one from the tea box today and it was WELL worth it. I think if there’d been more in the box i would have taken it out :) It’s not the most perfect raspberry tea but there’s something about it that is quite refreshing. Even when it was thoroughly cooled it had a pleasant taste, no bitterness and the base was present but blended with the flavouring instead of working against it. Thanks for sharing!

I thought this one might be ok. I was wrong. there’s something in this one that just doesn’t work. In theory it sounds like a great idea but in practice – no thanks. Took one sip and refused to drink the rest lol. It’s just not a great blending of ingredients and there’s a weird note in it. Ah well, can’t love them all!
