7152 Tasting Notes
dexter sent this to me! Since i’m exausted tonight and just want to relax and try to get to bed early, i opted for this one as my evening tea, though mostly because not adding this to my cupboard seemed like a good idea. Dexter managed to bump me over 140 even with the couple of sipdowns i managed today.
This is kinda nice. It reminds me a little of the lemon and mytle lupicia tea i had been drinking the past few days, but i’m guessing that’s the lemongrass heh. The rooibos in this one doesn’t overpower the taste of the lemon and that makes me happy. it also means that it’s not one of those woodsy rooibos’s. mostly this is just a relaxing happy lemon rooibos tea. thanks dexter!!

thank you shmiracles All i really got from this one was a lapsang cup of tea. Not the worst i’ve had, but not the best either…and for a custom blend, i want something more! the currant flavour in this one just wasn’t anywhere to be found. ah well.. there were others i like better! :) still good to have though
another tea from earlier this evening. I still haven’t decided how i feel about this one from TTC. it’s similar to the others that i’ve had but also different. there are some underlying notes to this that i haven’t quite wrapped my brain around. I may need to have a gong fu session to unlock my feelings on this one. still enjoying it..just….not settled in my opinion :)
I keep accidentally removing teas from my cupboard and adding them back in lol oh well. I had this one in the afternoon and even though i’m doing well with my cupboard – there are mini swaps incoming AND i intend to place a couple orders this month as well. So i’m trying to sample my smaller amounts of “new” teas that i haven’t tried yet to see whether they are bound for the swap bin or tasty teas i want more of! This one falls somewhere in the middle of things. this is chocolate tea for sure, and i’d love to try it with milk and sugar to see how that changes things in future. mostly though…it’s just tasty and delicious!
I’m trying to gradually work through some of my samples of puerh. In part because i know of SOMEONE who needs to try more, so i can split my samples in two haha! I’ve had this one before, and i found that this time around, i didn’t enjoy this one as much as the first time. While the first few steepings were light and enjoyable, over the last few that i had, there was an almost metallic taste that developed that i was not a fan of. I’d be willing to give this one another shot in a future yezi tea order though, as i generally have enjoyed most of their teas..esp since the first time, i really enjoyed it!
shhhhhh i like this tea. don’t tell the blergamot police! Shmiracles sent this one my way and i was a little wary of trying it. However, there’s a reason i try everything people send me, because you never know when something you don’t think you’d like, becomes something you’d like! this has got blergamot and coconut…two flavours i’m never a huge fan of but oh man…blended with the sweet delicious caramel and cream flavours…this is a hit for me! I really liked where this one went. Not overly full of blergamot and just sip after sip of delicious creamy caramel blerg taste. seriously. yum.
Shimiracles sent this my way and it’s quite tasty. I wish i’d realised it was a chai like sort of blend to try it with milk earlier, but that’s ok. I quite like the flavouring on this one as the cardamom is totally there saying HAAALLLLOO! the apple helps to smooth out the cinnamon flavouring so that it doesn’t come across as another apple cinnamon sort of tea. The ginger adds a bit of body to this one but as always, isn’t overly ginger. I quite like this one. thanks a bunch shmiracles!
