7440 Tasting Notes
First off…thank you Angel for your incredible generosity!
of course i’m now working again and my review is going down the tubes. however let me say that i don’t much enjoy green teas. They’re never on my list of top things to drink. I can buy a green tea and let it sit until it’s no longer fresh and it will take me forever to drink it..
All that aside.. i REALLY enjoyed this one. It was my “i’m going to spoil myself” tea tonight. It’s tasty and you can really get a sense of how fresh this one is in terms of when it was picked. It’s crisp and juicy and full of “life!” I have shared the other samples with my friends hoping that they will enjoy it as much as i did and pick some up from Angel because even a non green loving tea fiend…can get behind this one! thanks so much angel!
jump sent this my way….as a practical joke i’m sure….since i do not like jasmine! but i’ll drink everything ppl send me. even smelly toe tea. :) I couldn’t drink much of this because it was REALLY jasmine smelling but the half cup i did drink was pretty decent for a bagged tea. however i was super glad i had my other tea! lol
oopsy..had this logged under the wrong tea but luckily i found it! this was from terri in the BBB’s most recent trip and i need to keep drinking it! this one was really enjoyable today as i worked on mini things in the morning. I’ve found that teas like this, that are smooth and delicious and not quite bold and malty enough to make me focus on them, let me get lots of work done. I think i like the one from the other day just a touch more, but this was still really enjoyable! thanks terri!
i have not been successfull lately with wok in drinking up my teas, so i’m trrrrying to take out some of the teas that i’ve been hoarding and drink them up as treats to incent me to go to work. Today it was this tea… get up and go to work sil…you can have caramel deliciousness…no i know the bed is safe and far away from the whiney people but you can do it…and so i did.
I’m not sure that this is my FAAAAAVOURITE caramel/toffee tea but it IS pretty good. And still enjoyable…and i should probably compare this one and TeaG’s version soon…together…even if they’re not quite the same thing. :)
soooo i’ve had that awful song by uh… those girls… stuck in my head all day… “i don’t caaaare…….. i love it!” irritating at best. Work is killing me, i never see my other half except for scarfing down food when i get home late…and uh i’m still behind in catching up with the FIVE projects that got put on me when someone else “quit.” On the plus side i have about 3 more weeks to try and get caught up before anyone notices that I haven’t got a sweet mother loving clue what’s going on haha. In between that i’m also apparently the one who is responsible for all customer facing presentations, being the go to person for all other areas we work with, and they put me in charge of all “migrations” for the year…while also being on other ppl’s projects and being the us and canada sales and marketing person and the small business segment lead…
anyone wanna talk banking? no really..if you’re in the chicago area…looking for a job…pm me…have i got a deal for you! giggling
sooo anyway…on days like today, before days like tomorrow, i need good tea. So today i pulled out this one..i’m on my last few cups and it’s scary…. it was exactly what i needed this morning when the subway decided it was not having anything of getting me to work on time..which meant of course i missed out on my hour of productivity before people come in to the office lol. GOOD TIMES!….
…but i don’t caaaare..i love it!
nomity, nom nom…had a cup of this tonight and i am sooo happy with the dark, deep, roasty, caramel, delicious notes that it’s ALMOST enough to make up for the extended week i’m going to have, as if last week wasn’t bad enough…RELEASE WEEKEND! woot woot! incoming full day saturday of “suck.” and 4 more days to “enjoy” before we get there lol. good times!
jump62359 sent this one my way and to be honest, i wasn’t sure what to expect. I brewed this one up tonight because gosh darnit, i’m having at least ONE cup of tea after i get home from work if it kills me…otherwise there’s no way i’m going to make my May goal! This one tastes sort of generically bland. If i concentrate hard i can sense that there is both oolong and puerh in here, but as far as flavour goes…it’s mostly “tea” flavoured. that being said, maybe that’s what grumy wizards are made of. On the whole, an average cup of tea. Glad i’ve tried it but no need to order :)
i wanted something light and delicious to go with my other teas today so i picked this one! I think i’m also subconsciously trying to work my way through the last of my Butiki teas (i say that like i only have a couple….NOT) before i place a wee small order with Cavo and Variatea…. i brewed this up this morning, and had the pineapple chunks for breakfast…so there. i still love this one…pineapple flavouring spot on.
i feel like an addict…i had to have this again…and i just had it yesterday..but it’s SO TASTY! seriously…it’s like delicious chocolatey goodness…i just want cavo and variatea to come visit and have some… (and others, but in reality those two are the closest…oh and yyz…and nxtdoor…and… so anyway..you get the picture.. WANT TO SHARE!..but share in that let’s drink this together so i can oogle your oogling sort of way. ) that’s a thing. true story.
sooooo yeah. I have to make sure i save some to share with with the BBB in case i don’t have time to place an order but maaaan i just want to drink more! MORE!
I finally got around to being able to drink this one from the last round of the BBB! I am a fan! I’m actually really glad that Terri has Yunnan sourcing figured out since i barely have time to explore new companies lately. Of course that means i want the box to take a really long time to get to me so i have time to figure out what i’m putting in it! lol This tea is pretty tasty…there’s a little bit of maltiness with a side of chocolate, but mildly so…it’s not in your face. The brew is smooth and i love the little snail like leaves :) but that’s just me haha thanks terr!
