drank Walnut Truffle by Tea Desire

this one came my way via Roswell Strange I have to say that while i have apparently tried this before, today it was a better cup than i’d say the last time i had it. Might have something to do with the GIANT WALNUTS in my cup :) it was nice to have this one again, though still nothing i need to stock.

backlog – i didn’t realise i’d already had this team – some came my way via the BBB box grab bag ;) it’s nice to revisit this since it’s been a while since i last had it. However, my perceptions are still the same. Not a bad tea, not a great tea…just average…

Final Count yesterday: 213 (not too shabby since i lost 6? hours to Ikea..18 teas)

Terri HarpLady

I brought all of my ‘grab bag’ teas with me this weekend, so hopefully I’ll get around to trying them all.

i feel like i had a different tea than everyone else lol This one came my way from boychik and i had it yesterday (finishing my catch up). To me? this was barely smokey…instead what i was getting was a deliciously smooth tea with just a hint of something that might be smokey. Even after a couple resteeps it was just a pleasant cup of tea lol

Joseph Wesley Black Tea

That sounds like the correct tea. Our #7 Lapsang Souchung is a much higher grade Lapsang Souchung than any we’ve seen in the North American market. The art of its constructio and what makes us so excited about it is that it has a perfect balance between the natural sweetness of the leaves (picked from wild tea trees) and the gentle smokey notes from the final heating with wood – not wet needles. It’s definetly not a heavy handed tea. Happy to read that you enjoyed it.

i loved it :)

im happy you loved it.

Yes, I agree! I found it very mild as well.

Yay I’m not the only one hahaha

glad to be finished up with this one….needed a break from caffeine teas before we do some running around tonight for house things. I’ve got 15 more teas to try and get through tonight and let me tell you….holy it’s a long road haha. this is nice enough, but given the choice, i would of course always reach for THE pumpkin ginger tea…

Terri HarpLady

No other pumpkin tea will ever measure up! :D

sooo i had hopes for this one…i do like blueberry and lemongrass but there is almost too much lemongrass in this one for me to really get behind it. it’s nice..but..just missing the mark a little for me. thanks for sharing variaTEA!

Did you get licorice?! No matter what I did, this tasted like licorice.

haha no..no licorice for me.. that’s weird

Just me then. Weird indeed.

i think? this one came from variaTEA and i figured today would be a good time to revisit an old friend. I quite like this one and it’s nice to get to check in again with this tea and see that i STILL find it a tasty cup :)

another one that came my way via the BBB Ladies. sadly it wasn’t much to write home about. it’s a sweet sort of assam and not at all what i wanted today. that being said it wasn’t a BAD cup of tea, just…boring? uneventful?

cavocorax sent this one my way and i was glad. I sort of went off trying mint chocolate chip black teas because i really love stacy’s herbal version. Sadly, this one wasn’t a win for me. it’s a nice enough mint chocolate chip, but it’s not strong or enticing enough for me to pick it up in favour of the herbal version. still though, decent cup of mint chocolate chip tea :)

This is another lovely sample sent to me by Angel. I needed something straight to give my taste buds a bit of a break since there are another 20 or so samples i want to try and get through today (insanity! and likely not going to happen….) For those who aren’t aware, greens are not my preferred teas, though i am always willing to give them a shot. Plus, these leaves are super cute! I love the dry smell of this tea…just like fresh grass…but not cut :) Brewed up, this is a really nice cup of tea, though not as delicious as the dragonwell that Angel sent my way. there’s a sharpness to this tea that reminds me a little of that medicinal taste you sometimes get at the end of cough medicine… it’s still a nice enough cup, but i’d take the dragonwell first please :)

I like the sharp tartness. I think it reminds me of tart cherries.

another one from variaTEA and i have to say, i am not getting mango or strawberry here lol for me, this tastes like a cup of peach tea. It’s fairly pleasant though, not quite what i was expecting. still though, nice to try something new heh

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling and am currently working on trying to get my other half to as many place in the world as possible.
