7674 Tasting Notes
Another one from Roswell Strange I’m trying to drinka few teas from most of my swap buddies, though i suspect the teas from YYZ and Boychik will wait for tomorrow or another weekend as i want to do a few comparisons. I think i still prefer the scottish toffee caramel puerh from majesteas here in toronto, but this one is a close second. It’s got that delicious creamy caramel taste that rides along with the base of the puerh for a really enjoyable cup. at least in my opinion :) thanks for letting me try another version of this one RS! :)
awesome… thanks for sending this my way roswell strange I finally got around to organising my tea cupboard again with all the swap stuff and found this bag tucked in one of the boxes that came over in the move. I quite like this even for a bagged tea. Does it stack up against my memory of saskatoon berries? mostly. But to be fair it’s been about 18 years since i last had any haha.
roswell strange sent this one my way and i’m glad that she did. While it’s not the crazy intensly delicious melon flavour that lupicia has…it is also a black tea! and that makes me happy. I much prefer this one of the black melon that the teafairy sent me. I’m finding this one to be just the right balance of fruit and black tea today. Thanks a bunch RS!
Another share from cavocorax I like this one a little less than the other straight from WP i had this morning. this one has a fruitier note to it that distracts me from enjoying the other tastes in this tea. It’s not a bad tea, but if i want fruity notes in my tea, i’ll stick with TTC teas from taiwan :) On the whole though, a nice cup to start my morning off. thanks cavo!
cavocorax shared this sample with me that she received in her WP order. Since i have a billion samples of teas to drink, i figured i should start with a few of my straight teas and put a pause on drinking favourites this morning. I’m hoping i’ll also get time to maybe drink a puerh or two this weekend. This one is quite tasty. there’s a sweetnes to this along with malt notes and a slight cocoa taste. it’s not out of this world but this is for sure a really nice tea.
another backlog from yesterday, this one courtesy of VariaTEA I’m a little worried that i’ll get my teas from swaps mixed up so apologies if i miscredit someone with a tea they gave me. I’m trying to get them all separate since the house is a complete mess but who knows how well that will work. It was lovely to have this back in the house again. it’s one of the few teas from ATR that i really enjoy enough to want to purchase but they are a pain to get to canada. thanks for putting this back in my cupboard!
backlog from yesterday. Today is operation sipdown with a side of getting the house more organised and throwing things out that i didn’t get to when we moved. I’m also supposed to have board game night tonight and a bridal shower for a friend tomorrow. I pretty much want nothing to do with any of that lol. I just want to sit on the balcony, drink tea, read and watch the sun sigh still enjoying this one, though not upset that i’m almost through the 100g. In the grand scheme of things, there seems to be only a few teas that i ever really want 100g of in the house, and even then i’d rather have small sizes and order more often heh
