backlog from yesterday. This wasn’t nearly as tasty as the first time i had it, though i’m not sure why. Maybe i just wasn’t in the right mood.

thank goodness the lavander in this is almost non existant. i was a little worried but shouldn’t have been. This is a delightful strawberry, fig tea. It reminds me a lot of strawbery jam – real strawberry jam with that mouthful of deliciousness you get when you lick the spoon. mmmm glad i have enough for another cup of this later!

sipdown! The rest of this is going over to terri to try. I am really enjoying this tea a bunch. It’s not an overly intense smokey tea – there are sweet notes in it and it’s got a depth to it that i really like. It’s also a very smooth tea to drink. As always, I added a bit of maple syrup to this and i am in my happy place. Gulped this one down before i even realised it was all gone.

pretty sure i don’t like this tea. I accidentally let the cup cool as i was distracted when i had it, so i’ll give it another shot. that being said, not much about it made me want to drink it once it had cooled off. That’s ok though, as i think i’ve gradually leraned that tealux = straight teas for me.

Sipdown! This is another tea from the lovely dinosara and man…this is delicious! I really am loving this one – i wish i had a bit more to send to gracebtlb as it might just fill the figgy void i know she has. This is a medium bodied tea, that tastes just like black figs to me. It’s like a fruit garden and reminds me of biting into a fresh fig. I love it! thanks dinosara!

Mm, yes I love this one! Perfect fig.

Oh man, that sounds wonderful. I love figs and would kill for a good fresh fig-tasting tea as I can’t get fresh figs too often here. Yum.

ooohhh, this sounds very interesting!

sipdown! this is a pretty tasty yellow tea. It’s not overly strong. I wish there was a bit more sweetness to it, but it’s not too bad. There’s a bit of fruitiness to this that is nice, though as the sup cools, that blends into the background of things.

YAY! 200! now to get a few more in to account for the verdant blends i’ll be getting in a couple weeks.

200! :O Now… to keep it there? For the next month?

i’m under 200 as of yesterday so today i’m probably going to drink some of my older teas or teas that i have lots of…and maybe a couple puerhs

This is uh…an interesting looking tea. I’m going to have to go with Terri on this one… i put a small taste into my mouth and then promptly had to spit it out. Ew…this is uh… not good.

sipdown! I think i need to get my hands on a few more norbu teas. This is a lovely tea. This is a tea with an earthy taste. there’s some sweetness to this as well, and it reminds me of something that i can’t quite place.

I’m so glad i bought an ounce of this before my sample arrived and i’d even tried it. This is the perfect fall/winter tea for me. It’s like a chai but then it softens as the vanilla comes to the forefront. Later, as it starts to cool, i can taste the base coming through more strongly. Lending an almost chocolatey sort of vanilla blend.

Boiling 3 min, 45 sec

Sounds so tasty!

I bought this when i was in victoria this summer, hoping that it would be more like the other orange puerh that i tried from…shmiracles i think it was? In any case, i was really looking forward to that puerh with the subtle orange flavouring from the mandarin that it was packaged in. The dry leaf certainly smelled that way, but once brewed this tastes mostly like a woodsy bold puerh. Not a bad cup, but not what i was hoping for.

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling and am currently working on trying to get my other half to as many place in the world as possible.
