6342 Tasting Notes
My matcha was composed of the following:
Size : Small
Matcha Quality: Starter (Basic Grade)
I have a soft spot for the pineapple flavour in life savers. It might be my favourite. Even if it’s not quite actual pineapple taste (which i LOVE), those life savers are my happy place. When i cracked open this matcha – it was like smelling an entire package of those delicious life savers. I was in my happy place. Now, I’ve shared this matcha with a few people but i haven’t yet gotten around to reviewing it. Today, i figured why the heck not!
I opted to drink this as a latte even if some part of me was a little wary about milk + pineapple. Honestly? SOOOOO Good! I think the distinctive level is the right way to go for this one, or possibly delicate. Robust would make this a little too artificial i think.
The milk actually helps to smooth out the edge of the pineapple. Each sip is like the first instant you put a life saver into your mouth. Before i knew it, i had finished up my double mug of this! Even after it was gone, i could taste it, lingering…the best part? the after taste is more like actual pineapple. I think this will likely be a reorder!

i had 2 cups of tea today. I won’t get in to my day, but it suffices to say that I’m currently hiding from my blackberry having 5 mins away to drink some rye and coke before the next headache starts. As a result…i didn’t get to fully appreciate this while i was drinknig it today but it DID get my through the day. I did NOT add maple syrup to this one as i usually do with keemuns and it was a really wonderful cup of tea. thank goodness i’ve got more to enjoy later!
well i made it to 160 tonight after adding the teas that dexter sent me to my cupboard and getting a work from home day with which to drink a bit more tea than usual. I’m having a cup of this though while i add in all the teas that terri sent me in addition to the BBB Box (travelling black tea box that i share with terri and tastybrew). I’ll miss this one when it’s gone. I’ve also come to the conclusion that i have somehow managed to find myself with a cupboard of 150+ teas, of which probably 98% of which are black teas (flavoured or unflavoured)…meaning when i want the occasional tea without caffeine, my options are seriously limited lol
Oh well…i can remedy that later!
Edit: Dear Terri…180. (dexter – a few means 16+ to terri!)
This is another tea from Alice and i can’t say that I’ve ever had a “cherry ripe” bar but i was curious. I’ll have to try this with milk next time as i mostly had a sense of the coconut while drinking this. There wasn’t a lot of cherry or cranberry. However, this is chocolatey and coconuty. Coconut isn’t my favourite taste but i was still looking forward to drinking this. I’m glad i have a few more cups! thanks Alice!
