5370 Tasting Notes
had this again as one of the recent reviews from angrboda was on this one. I have to agree with her on this one. While it smells aaammaaaazing! the taste is almost muted and not nearly as deliciously caramelly as it seems like it should be. it reminds me a little of some of the della terra caramel teas but with a smoother black base that has a slightly less artificial taste. still haven’t found the sweet spot with this one. but man, does it smell wonderful!
sipdown! another one for the road haha figure i’ll let terri try a bunch of steap shoppe through me since i have lots of teas! getting excited to be making room for the travelling tea box too! and birthday orders! yay!
this one i’m still not sure about. It’s a decent enough tea but it doesn’t live up to it’s name imo. it’s more of a chocolate tea…with the occasional hint of orange. for that reason, i’m dropping the rating a bit since it doesn’t live up to it’s name, more than because i don’t like it.
So strangely I haven’t apparently had this since December…..which doesn’t really seem right but hey, we’ll go with it. Final tally for tonight is 230 BUT I haven’t had a chance to put the shared order that Terri and I have that’s at my house. That’s another 8 teas or so but ill worry about those when I get some time on the weekend since I suspect I may have to manually enter them all.
Release is apparently finally going in this weekend which normally would mean lots of tea drinking Saturday night but they’re forcing us to go to the centre, rather than test from home since its been a shit show the past few releases soooooo it basically means no tea for most of Saturday and Sunday. Which sucks. Which means ill be struggling to get to 200 before I go on vacation but maybe I can get enough teas to 1 cup status to bring a new cup of tea for me to drink every day I’m on vacation for sipdowns lol.
This tea? Well see previous notes. It’s lemon, its creamy and I think? I prefer the lime and the orange over it, but not by much…they’re all a pretty close margin :)
Sipdown! This is a tea that works best as a cold brew. I didn’t hate the hot brew that I tried tonight but it wasn’t nearly as tasty as the cold brew was. Either way it was still nice to try and now I’m one step closer to 200…..though as I start to plan my birthday orders I’m looking at roughly 200$…..sooo need to find a way to trim those orders down lol
I’ve had this a few times now, and apparently haven’t logged it much. It’s a really light in flavour tea but it’s not too bad. I like that it gives me another caffeine free option. I don’t think i’d keep this around permanently in my cupboard but it wouldn’t ever be turned down. I am packing up the last couple bags for a swap since i think it’s a good one to share if for no reason than it’s not caffeinated lol
Made this cold brewed last night and apparently this is a tea that suits me better as a hot brew. Cold it just didn’t seem to be as flavourful as a hot brew and i was missing out on the deliciousness of the strawberry from the hot brew. I’m thinking hot brew + cool this off might be the way to go. Not a bad run as a cold brew but just not as wonderful as i thought it might be!
