6407 Tasting Notes
Thanks for this one Terri! I think this one is my second favourite of the bunch you sent me. I guess i’m on a bit of a “let’s drink some oolongs” kick.
This one has less of the charcoal notes to it than the other, but is still clearly an oolong. It’s smooth tasting though and slightly fruitier than the others. Thanks again terri!
Gotta love getting paid to sit around and drink tea at home while taking care f house things :) this is another tea from Terri. I like this one a bit less than the other oolong from ttc today. This is more charcoal like and has that familiar roasty oolong taste.
Overall not a bad little tea but this one cup was enough!
oh god. i thought i’d give this one a try since i had a good experience with coconut this morning. um. i love you terri, but this is really not the tea for me. I may have taken a sip and held it in my mouth, making a face while trying to decide whether to spit or swallow. lol Funnily enough it’s not so much the coconut that did it to me..it’s the weirdly peachy, grassy green oolong taste and how it doesn’t meld well with the coconut. eesh.
thanks for letting me have a bit of this terri! lol one more tea off the list haha
so i’m not typically a fan of oolongs, though roasted oolongs are better than green and some aged oolongs are better still. Terri sent this one my way – another tea from TTC that she picked up, that i hadn’t tried. I have to say? this one isn’t bad. I much prefer this aged oolong over their aged black tea :) There’s a sweetness here that i enjoy and it’s missing that “oolongy” taste that i’m not a huge fan of. there’s still a bit of vegetal taste here but it’s more of a burned grass than green grass lol. I’ll be sharing the rest of this little bit with dexter! :)
Sipdown! Mostly because i’m sharing the last of this with Incendiare and Heather so they get a chance to try it. I may end up restocking this at some point but i’m not in a rush.
Trying to get my cupboard under control this weekend but it’s difficult when find teas that you forgot to add to your cupboard or somehow removed accidentally lol (156)
I made a cold brew of this to see how it would hold out. Final verdict? I prefer this hot, or hot brewed cooled. When it’s brewed cold, there’s a larger floral presence to the tea that i don’t love as much. It’s also not a juicy and delicious until you add a bit of sweetner. :)
justjames sent me a sample of this since i’m trying to try all the butiki teas! :) I am NOT a fan of coconut. You know what i am a fan of though? this tea! This is coconut and caramel and banana…but the banana is subtle…hiding in the sip until about halfway through and then it’s like BAM! haha I am really enjoying this one. I’ve got some more to play with so i’ll be enjoying that. I would likely purchase this is it was available as a standard tea, though given the coconut, i couldn’t drink it all the time. Thanks SO much for sharing this with me justjames Love the DR Who reference as well! :)
Terri sent these my way and i was super excited to try them out! I have to say, if nothing else these are fantastic looking when they’re brewed :) I’ve had a couple of steeps of these – they’re malty and rich and delicious! I’ve got one cone left that i’m going to use tomorrow for a mini gaiwan session.
Trying to use the steepster app as much as possible but it’s slightly challenging :) I haven’t yet figured out how to add or remove teas from my cupboard or edit teas but I do like the interface so far.
This tea was from dexter! And it’s quiet delicious. There are some chocolates notes in the background that are quiet nice, though it’s not like, say laoshan black.
