6146 Tasting Notes
I had this one yesterday while we were out and about. I think we over did it a little as by the end of the day we were both sore and today i’m a little worn out. This was a great tea – i really need to keep drinking my yezi teas. They are one of those companies that i forget about, drink again and remember how much i enjoy their teas. lol
GCTTB i pulled this one out since there was maybe a sil sized mug left and i always feel bad when there’s a metric ton of one company in a tea box lol. I still really enjoy this one but only in the sense that the occasional cup makes me happy. If i had it every day i wouldn’t like it as much. If that makes sense.
Final Count: 129 (sooo close to being able to buy tea!) Here’s hoping i can get to 120 this weekend though i’m not holding my breath since we have plans most of this weekend that won’t let me drink too much. And a lot of teas i want to drink are puerh which require my time :)
Edit: I also had a stout french vanilla coffee beer today…. totally interesting and fun to try!
Cold brew of this today while i pack up an enormous amount of tea swap packages. Having finally sorted through all of the amazing teas MissB sent us, they will be out the door to other homes tomorrow! Plus a few swaps, some surprise packages and other goodness. I feel very productive considering after tomorrow i’ll just have a box for cavocorax in my house with teas for VARIATEA, and my ongoing box for Terri that is always open waiting for teas. We also got new tiles put in to the kitchen so we can rework the crap work the apartment people did….minor expense in a plce we don’t own to just get the kitchen sorted. Not as productive a staycation as we wanted but at least it feels like a few things were accomplished. And i DID get a tea tray haha.
Still enjoy this one cold brewed and hot brewed, but won’t cry when i finally finish up the last of the 150g or so of this tea i bought while it was a around heh
totally gapped on doing a review for this today but i’ll likely pick it up again tomorrow in any case. I am trying really hard to get through reviewing the samples from Wymm tea that they were so generous about sending out to people. So far yesterday’s shou was my favourite but this one was quite nice. I remember most that this was slightly sweet – slightly floral but not to the point where i didn’t want to drink it. Only got through a few steepings today so more tomorrow.
Final Count: 131
*missB sent this one on and i have to say, for a herbal chai it’s not too shabby. I’m a fan of the ingredients and i like the heat that this one has while still being flavourful. there’s a bit of a sweetness here which i suspect comes from the licorice since i seem to be especially sensitive to that sort of sweetness. On the whole though, this was a pretty great cup of herbal chai! thanks missb!
I figured i should try this as a straight tea before i finished up so i brewed this one according to the instructions in just water. The result very much reminds me of a latte – toned down. I get little to now caramel but i DID remove all the sugar from this package so maybe that’s what brings the caramel to teh yard – er tea…. Not a bad cup. but nothing i need to restock, especially given the amount of sugar that was added to this blend. :(
I feel like they forgot about the orange in these. I’ve had a couple steeps now and while this is a really nice puerh -smooth, with some depth there is little to no orange to be found. Which makes me sad because i love orange + puerh and was so hopeful for these little guys. Still though, not crying over it because the puerh in itself is lovely and has been very enjoyable this afternoon.
