6831 Tasting Notes
tea from earlier today. We’ve had a nice lazy-ish sort of day today as our first weekend where we were both in town and for the most part, he wasn’t working. I enjoy this one, but it’s not my favourite assam. it’s a little drying while also feeling very juicy. That being said, i still really love these offerings from JW and they always make for an enjoyable cup to reflect on.
This was a much needed cup of tea after finally coming back from Ottawa. I made some good progress on teas while i was away, but still a ways to go over the next week. It’s almost september!!! I don’t anticipate having much time in septeber – 4 more weekends until we’re through to the other side of wedding! :)
still enjoying this. One more left that i may use to drink tomorrow, though maybe not since my day is going to be a little crazy. I’ve got work in the morning, followed by final dress fitting and then it’s off to the train station to head back home to Toronto. I love the train – lots of time to work, read and watch the world go by….but it’s going to be a bit of a crazy day. So looking forward to wrapping up the fitting though, and having that off my checklist for the wedding. Still enjoying this tea, though i’m not sure if i’d restock as there a re few other versions of this one that i like as much or more. With the canadian dollar likely to slide in to a long-er term visit to 70 cents, i may need to look at the best places in canada to order from. Or figure out how to convert a bunch of money and sit on it haha
the water in Ottawa is slightly different from the water back home, so while i’ve been enjoying this one, it’s not the super amazing delicious tea that it is in Toronto. Still good but i miss what i KNOW this one can taste like haha.
On the upside, i have managed to get a few sipdowns in while i’ve been here, and made good progress on drinking up a few of my older teas. I’ll be happy to get home tomorrow to be with my full cupboard. :)
