7534 Tasting Notes
I picked this one up at the tea festival, not realising that i had tried it before. Brewed it again tonight and it’s a little better judging by my tasting notes, but it’s not what i want it to be based on the smell. the rooibos in this one is a little woody for my preference, but it’s a decent tart orange tea.

This is a pretty tasty tea.. there’s some honey notes here, though not as strong as my delicious TTC teas. It’s also a little malty and there’s a taste there that i can’t quite place, adding a little strength to the tea. This is a nice, none USD$ alternative for a ttc sort of tea.
The flavor is a great example of this types of tea: honey, hints of malt, and a lot like those chocolates with the roman nougat filling. That is exactly why I love this type of tea. It’s probably only noticeable if you’re a fan of those types of candies. Maybe to others it’s a hint of cherry (or maybe just something fruity) and nuttiness. I could wish for a little more of the roman nougat flavor, but some of these types of teas don’t have that at all, so I’m glad it’s there. The flavor is very smooth and I think perfectly steeped this way. The cup looks like it’s full of maple syrup and just as smooth!

This one’s pretty tasty as far as Christmas teas go. I like that this has a nice sort of cinnamon, spice taste underlying the other things going on. I also really like that the clove isn’t overpowering. I find “holiday” blends often have WAAAAAY too much clove. this one is also pretty – even if it does remind me of potpourri a little :) thanks for the share evol!
Blueberry Pancakes – Cha Island Tea Co. this one isn’t in the database and I couldn’t find a website to pull information from. On the whole, this one isn’t bad but i don’t love it. I’ve had better blueberry teas…and the base doesn’t incent me to love it. Not a bad tea but nothing i need to keep.
So happy to see this one included in the box. I’ve been meaning to order at least one of the yellow teas from mandala but haven’t had a chance to yet. I’ve been sipping on this over the course of the morning. I quite like this. It’s a little different from the other yellow teas that i’ve had but this is a nice one. The flavor reminds me a little of corn, slightly sweet and very buttery.
I have the “pleasure” of doing a release this long weekend so i’m working from home for the next two days. The benefit of that is that i get to work on some samples, organise my tea cupboard and get the GCTTB out the door. I pulled this one out this morning since there was a request to add this one to the box. Nice to revisit this but imo this is one of A&D’s lesser offerings. Still a decent cup but i’m not sad to see it go?
