7741 Tasting Notes
I’m finding that this is not my favourite tea. When i first started drinking it, i loved it’s juicy notes and the way the flavours came together in a straight black cup of tea. Now, however, i’ve found similar teas that i like a bit better. that’s not to say that this is a bad cup of tea or it won’t find it’s way in to my cupboard from time to time, just that it’s not a staple. I can only have so many honey/juicy sort of blacks in my cupboard as i tend to prefer stronger, darker black teas. However, I do like visiting with this one now and then :)
Keychange sent this one my way the other day and i’ve been saving it. It was nice to have this back in my cupboard as i thoroughly enjoy this one. I added a splash of maple syrup to this one to give it just a little more of a kick and it was fantastic…brought out even more of the pecan flavouring for a happy cup of tea while watching a few shows and waiting for my other half to get home from work. :)
oh man, i do love this tea. Every time i have this, i’m super happy and thankful that i gave this one a try. I really like that Stacy is often able to find teas that i wouldn’t normally love and make me love them. This oolong is full of delicious fruity tastes! I’ve had a few resteeps now and every one is as bit as tasty as the first. this needs to be in my cupboard all the time! :)
Giving this one another try. Today it’s more Vanilla Ale than rhubarb…though the rhubarb is present in that sort of tangy presence. I am having this one unsweetened today and it’s going quite nicely with my banana bread heh. I’m not sure if this would find a permanent place in my cupboard as there are so many other flavours that i like better. I think i’d rather drink my ale cold than hot, if that makes sense haha. However, I am really enjoying this one, so it may need to rotate in occasionally :)
I’m pretty sure that as my tastes have evolved, i have ceased to really enjoy Guayusa Tea. it’s just not for me. I don’t need the caffeine boost and the taste just never seems to be what i want. This one came to me from Kallieboo! and i’m glad to have the chance to try this one again. If nothing else, to help me realise that there are other types of tea that i’d rather be drinking. That being said, i finished off the cup, but don’t feel the need to pick up more. Thanks Kallieboo!
i am dragging today. Last night we were up way too late and then i was up way too early this morning. I’m so not a night owl…so if i am up past midnight my body generally revolts the next day. I decided hat today is going to be a butiki day because i have a bunch of teas from stacy that i haven’t yet had a chance to have more than a cup from, and i’m looking at placing another order in the near future…so i need to know what i want more of besides “everything” :)
Second round of having both of these today and i’m at a loss for which i like more. Both have slight differences in their taste but not overly so.
This was my last tea from yesterday. I cannot even tell you how satisfying yesterday was. We finally got to play Brass again – still one of our favourite games that we don’t get to play often. We played a few others, had some pizza and relaxed and then we were all pretty pooped and ready to go home…at like 10pm. But then someone said “rockband?” and before you knew it…we were 4 hours later going home hahaha good times were had by all. This was my “travelling home” tea and may, i love it. This was another one of verdant teas that i picked up 4oz of back in December and am down to my last ounce or so… the only reason it’s not done is because during the day i tend to reach for vanilla spice first as i like it just a little better heh
Final Count: 139
One cup left of this. Thankfully i saved my leaves from yesterdays cup of this and will be able to drink a few more steeps of this today, thus saving the last cup for a no good very bad day in which i need a pick me up. Seriously…if anyone out there has these and doesn’t want theirs….my house welcomes them lol
