7475 Tasting Notes
Another oolong from Ysaurella it appears that today was the day that i decided to drink a number of the teas she sent me. This one, is an interesting tea. I an enjoying it, though it doesn’t do nearly the same things to me as it does my favourite companion from france :) However, this could almost….almost teach me to enjoy oolongs! thank you for sharing!
as a non fan of oolongs, I’m happy ysaurella sent me a sample since she and I have similar feelings regarding oolongs most of the time. :) Since she enjoys this one, i figured i would likely enjoy it as well. And i was right! this has a really nice milk oolong taste without that oily weird thing that sometimes happens with milk oolongs. The flavour was smooth and creamy without being too vegetal or too fake tasting. i think this one and Mandala’s are probably my favourite as far as milk oolongs go.
Merci encore une fois madam!
Not much to say on this one besides i am having a grand time drinking it up this morning. I’m working from home today and feeling incredibly productive even with my minimal sleep over the past couple of days. The last piece of this is off to Cavocorax so that she can try it out and see what other delights she wants to explore from Mandala :)
Ysaurella sent this my way and after smelling it, i didn’t actually think i would enjoy this one. Well, I was wrong. :) It won’t be my favourite MF tea but there is something intriguing about this particular blend even though there is a note in there that confuses me. This is a pleasant fruity tea with maybe a hint of floral to it, but clearly nothing overly strong or i wouldn’t like it. The fig is hiding in this a little but it’s there if you look for it.
Thank you madam! this was a pleasant surprise :)
Another from courtney that is really quite nice. I like the faint astringency in this one that offsets the sweetness that comes from this. I like this one quite a bit, and is likely my favourite of the ronnefeldt teas that courtney was kind enough to pass on to me. I’ll rather enjoy finishing up the rest of this that i have :)
trying to get to my samples today since there’s a package at the post office that could be one of two things – both with a number of teas. :) This one was from courtney and is not a bad cup for this morning. There’s a bit of astringency in the cup, which i don’t mind at all in this particular case. This continues to reaffirm my opinion that ronnefeldt teas are sort of middle ground for me, so totally doable at a reasonable price point, but not something i MUST HAVE. so thanks for the wide range of teas from them to try courtney!
This is a distinctive level matcha. It appears that raspberry just isn’t a doable flavour for me when it comes to redleaf. There’s an underlying artificial presence to the raspberry that i can’t get past. It’s not there for strawberry or some of the other berry flavours but with raspberry, it’s all i focus on. Oh well, lots of other flavours i love from Redleaf!
