6146 Tasting Notes
SIPDOWN! thanks again to nicole this IS a super fine tea – probably the most fine tea i’ve had without it being matcha. and then…then i sort of um fell asleep for just a little bit. Apparently my body doesn’t care about caffeine. So i drank this a little cold, but it’s still a pretty tasty. This falls into my “every day” sort of tea category. thank you for sharing this with me nicole..sorry my tasting note sucks. but the tea was great!
sipdown! (211) mmmm another fine tea from nicole I think i accidentally over steeped this a little but i can still get the flavours in this tea. I really like this one, though if i didn’t mess up steeping this, it’s a little stringent for me. or…because it’s a cousin to darjeelinsg, that’s what i’m getting here. What i love about this tea are the under notes happening here. I cant quite place the taste but it’s somehow familiar to me. either that or lack of sleep has made me disfunctional..but at least i’m getting some stuff done..even if it’s as silly as sorting pictures…
sipdown! yes i’m still living in denial that i might be able to get to 200 today…I can try but i’m guessing i’ll only get to about 205 IF that. Finally home after release weekend and i’m about ready to fall over. Sad part is, if i go nap i’ll be up all the night so both ian and i are trying to stay awake until at least 8pm. which means i can drink tea! lol
Nicole sent this one my way and it has reinforced that i should likely place a small order from mahamosa to try a few more of their teas as i’ve liked the two she sent my way. This is a pretty darn tasty vanilla tea. Might be worthy of a permanent place in my cupboard, or at the very least one of the vanilla teas that i cycle through :) No bitterness…just a smooth cup of good.
I had more of this tonight…er today? Hell i’m not sure what i am right now. I’ve been up almost all night (had a 1? hour nap before getting to come in to work for early o’clock. Phase one of testing is done…now we’re waiting for the second phase to start. With any luck i’ll be done at 4pm… this tea is saving my life.
In case anyone was wondering, THIS is the tea that you drink to be able to enjoy a wedding you have to attend with your ex….whom you’re still friends with but who broke up with you on your 30th birthday and then got engaged on your birthday while forgetting to wish you a happy birthday.
Yeah…my life is interesting sometimes. On the plus side this was a great tea to drink tonight. I do love my LB…and I had an excuse to get ice cream twice tonight on the way there and back!
Go me! Delicious chocolates malty LB how I love you…you make all the crappy things better!
SIPDOWN! I forgot i had to add in 2 butiki teas to my cupboard so there really is no likely way i’ll hit 200 teas this weekend – a more reasonable goal is probably 210, so i’ll aim for that. I didn’t brew this traditional style – i wanted to see if this would hold up to my usual brewing and it did! Thank you nicole for sending this my way. I’ll like pick up more of this at some point from either S&V or H&S. It’s a pretty decent addition to my cupboard for those days when i don’t want an overly bold tea or a malty one. I’m interested in trying it “traditional” style as well some day.
Had a cup of this one today as i need to work on drinking my older teas. Thankfully my teas are all still less than a year old, but there are a few that are getting up there and this is one of them. I always forget how tasty this cup of tea is. I really need to compare it to lupicia’s “lychee” tea that i have in my cupboard to see how different they are and which i like the best. :) still enjoying this one! love the lychee flavour
