7475 Tasting Notes
Morning tea! i figured that i should really get around to trying the rest of my F&M teas since my parents are headed to london in a few weeks and are already asking me what i’d like them to bring back. Not that i need more tea but it’s an “easy” solution to things.
I sort of cheated with this one today and added a splash of maple syrup..so i’ll have to rate this later when i have it straight but so far, this is a decent cup that i quite enjoyed!
I keep forgetting this is a herbal and that’s half of why i picked up 4oz of this…because i love it and it’s missing the tea! :) I had a giant mug of this to make up for neglecting it while taking a wonderful bath tonight. While this IS similar in profile to vanilla citrus spice in some ways, it’s also got a bit of a kick to it that makes it different enough to make me happy and tasty enough to satisfy me..or something like that. Maybe the woozle ate my thought.
it’s here! it’s here! it’s here! so i totally opened this up and fove in to it tonight while having a bath. :) Best. time. ever. Probably a little on the pricy side for me given my propensity to brew 90% of my cupboard western style but i am a fan. It’s smokey, but not overly so…and though i didn’t try it (tonight) with maple syrup, i’m betting this will be terribly delicious that way. Not a complicated tasting note tonight but i’m fading fast and need to tuck in for the night…but if you like smoke when it’s not “hey i burned down the house” levels..this is pretty tasty. but it’s for sure got a presence in the tea, so you won’t be able to miss it…
le sigh. This is not the blend it used to be. Everytime i have it, it makes me a little more sad. This version is a dull version of the previous incarnation. There is way less punch to this one and the spicy is way milder. That doesn’t make for a bad tea, but this version is not something i need to keep on hand. I suppose i could probably find ginger somewhere to add to it to give it a little more punch, but i am not so magically herb inclined as some heh
YYZ had this a few days and it was a nudge to pull this out and have it again this week. I’ve been trying to drink up older teas, and this doesn’t quite fall into that category since i picked it up in September. it DOES, however, fall into the category of delicious, delicious teas that i love. so there.
Last tea of the evening. Stupid mail man brought me nothing today so he sucks. So this was my cup o comfort while i finished up some work things that carried in to the evening. And now, my evening is gone and i’ve done nothing fun…BOOOOO
maybe my tea will come tomorrow.. sigh
(on a tea related note..this one still makes me super happy!)
I haven’t had a chance to try this on it’s own yet..so i picked this out tonight. HOLY CRAP PPL! this one smells INCREDIBLE…seriously it’s like deliciously amazing crazy ass creamy, yummy OMG i want to eat you all up tea.
…and then you brew it..and it’s not nearly as insane as the smell but it’s still a pretty decently flavoured cup of tea. So i’m enjoying it..but man, i wish it tasted like it smells… many that smell makes me happy! haha
So..im not sure if the first experience i had with this was the same tea lot as the lot that i picked up in December but this was a totally different tea from what my tasting notes appear to show. I picked this up so that i could try it again and decide whether to get more before it disappears. This morning it felt much more like a subtly smokey, sweet keemun. I’ll have to try this again soon….
ok really quick catch up with things. Tea from this morning because i keep forgetting campfire blend is a herbal and therefore nothing i want to waste on a day time tea. lol Still loving this, and going through my 4oz fairly quickly…no new AHA moments with this one..just wish the “tea” was a little more present.
