6037 Tasting Notes
sipdown! I’m kind of cheating on this one because i found a pureaoma tea that i don’t want to drink. I was wondering about this one when i got it because of the flowers and it turns out my suspicions were right. however, the tea is a smooth blend…i just personally don’t like the flavour. So of course…this is totally going to terri’s place LOL
SIPDOWN! The rest of this is off to terri for her to try, though i’m a little worried that the taste is a little less fresh. I only say that because this cup tastes quite different from the first time i had it. So be fair warned terri! It’s still a delicious tangy sour grapefruity tea but it’s a little less…something today. heh still good though, and i’d order it again for sure.
mmmm this is really tasty and refreshing. I’m beginning to feel like green teas are growing on my this spring. Maybe just need to be drinking green teas in the right season to really enjoy them. I’m trying to make a concentrated effort to drink up some of my green teas as i have a tendency to leave them until i have less to drink.
This is a really enjoyable cup this morning. Makes me want fresh veggies from the garden where you just rinse them and there’s a little dirt left when you take your first bite… mmmmm
mmmm! I like this one. Finally getting some time to focus on drinking some of the teas i’ve swapped away to share in the goodies my parents brought back for me but still haven’t tried. I REALLY want some mousse au chocolat but i promised myself that i wouldn’t open it until i hit 200 teas as a way to bribe myself. :)
This is a good black tea, something that’s not super BOLD and STRONG, but still enough going on to give you that little kick in the morning to get your going. There’s a sweetness to this tea that i like, though it does leave my mouth a little dry – something i’ve noticed with a few other yunnans. Overall, not a bad little tea for something my parents randomly picked up!
sipdown! (205) yeah..working from home day! Which means aiming for 200 teas today or a decent dent in things that i have 2-4 cups worth left so that i can get to under 200 by the time we head out on vacation!
I’ve enjoyed this one a bunch, slightly more than the english tea store version, though my memory might just be making me THINK this one is slightly better when it’s not. All that really means is that when i go back for more of my highland blend someday, i can also pick this one up :) As long as you drink it while hot, it’s a great bold, thick, rich caramel tea. More what i love drinking in winter but still one i could drink year round.
well if it had to be an unplanned thing, it ought to be a butiki tea. go go 2000th tasting note! woot woot! Still loving this tea a bunch, if only because i really like how smooth it is, while still being one for late nights. Not that caffeine has much affect on me, but friends like having delicious teas at night, and this is one i have NO issues sharing with them. :) thanks stacy! and thank you steepster folks for being awesome!
meh. I think i like the other chocolate teas from janet more than this one by a pretty big margin. it’s not a tea i’d toss down the drain, but if i never drank this one again i’d be ok with that. It’s just pretty meh..especially when compared to other chocolate teas i’ve had…hell even to janet’s other teas!
