7737 Tasting Notes
..weird. I know i’ve had this before but i can’t seem to find a tasting note for it. Oh well..this was another tea from this morning since i need to stay moving on to some of my other teas. this is similar to other TTC taiwanese blacks but different in that it’s less juicy and honey sweet and closer to being malty, without actually being malty. if that makes sense. either way, a good cup for today!
apparently this is my week for LB :) I had another mug of this today in the morning and it was fantastically wonderful. I never get tired of this tea…although Courtney may have ruined it for me interms of wanting to drink it without the added cacao…which i guess is slightly similar to the LB chocolate genmaicha but without the toasty rice goodness…
thanks for sharing this one with me courtney I’ve had the mint cacao before and wasn’t overly impressed. With this one i found that it was a whole lot of cacao tea…with hints of strawberry that would pop up now and then. So i subtracted a few points for not being as strawberry-licious as i wanted it to be. but it was still good and still tasty and when i DID get the strawberry hints, i was happy :)
go exchange rate go! it’s up a little tonight so that makes me a happy camper, esp since they’re forecasting it’ll be down around 85 cents by the end of the year. BOOO!
This is the last of this tea – the remainder is off to cavocorax to try since we’ve both mostly picked up different teas from RiverTea. I really like this one, though i wish it wasn’t such a heavy tea. I suspect that i could likely use a little less tea and brew for longer, but i’ll try that next time since i’ll likely be picking this up again as it’s a herbal option for when i’m in the mood for a not black tea :)
courtney both rocks my world and may have ruined LB for me for a little while. heh. She sent along some cacao for me since HI is annoying me in their lack of consistency with their service…so that i could try her receipe of adding this to LB.
So this morning i did a 1-1 ratio of this + LB in my travel mug for work…fogot about it…and sometime this afternoon took my first sip. dear.god. SOOOOO good! it enhances the deliciousness of LB and makes it a totally decadent treat tea… I may need to keep this in my back pocket for when i’m having a really bad day…though i’d have to get lots more cacao tea.
thanks a bunch courtney!
Another sample from my joint order with Cavo I keep mentioning her name in my tasting notes so that she’ll come pick up the THIRTY TEAS of her that are at my house. lol sadly this is another one that i forgot to track last night. I seem to recall this one being more of that woodsy sort of rooibos that has a tendency to overpower the flavours that are blended with it. That being said, I’d gladly try this again so i can make sure.
