6146 Tasting Notes
terri sent these my way and i couldn’t find an entry in the database for them. So here’s hoping i didn’t create a duplicate. these are very sweet…and fruity and don’t have the least bit of that dark black tea taste that i love about other flowering cones that i’ve had. that being said, these are quite delicious and even cold (i forgot about my tea) the brew is delicious to drink! thanks for letting me try another flowering cone terri!
terri sent this one my way – i haven’t had any opportunity to try white2tea so i was happy to see this. I treated this like i do most puerh and brewed it gonfu style this morning since that’s what’s recommended on the website. I’m still working on it, though i can say that this is a lighter tea but not without flavour. i’m still waking up so i’ll try to write more later. but this is a win.
Another from the magic box. I had some less than stellar experiences with some of the tea emporium’s teas so i haven’t been back in a while, but this tea called out to me to try even if only because i miss my walter bishop tea :( this tea smells divine! in fact a lot like WB… brewed the rooibos is decent, not that woodsy srt of rooibos that ruins delicious teas. It’s got a very nice strawberry flavour to it, though i’m not sure i’d call this one “shortCAKE.” it’s good though…very tasty and would probably be delicious as a latte!
Final Count: 161 (plus the travelling tea box)
I’m with MissB on this one…looks like an oolong. I figured today was the day to try this one since i’ve had all sorts of things i wouldn’t normally drink today. This one is a green/mint/blergamot blend….
brewed, this is much more mint than anything…but you can tell the blergfactor is there. mostly though…not something i would drink again. I appreciate the share though MissB!! it’s a lot of fun getting to try these teas out.
this one came my way stephanie via terri. I was a little hesitant about drinking this one. Flowers and i don’t really get along….esp not rose. That being said, once this one is brewed, it’s much more tea than rose. Still though, not something i really need in my life, though i’m always happy to try out random teas haha :) thanks ladies!!
this is really nice! Another one i wouldn’t have necessarily bought for myself but i’m glad i tried it out. I’d pick this one up for those times when i wanted a lemon tea…because this is CREAMY lemon…no false advertising here! the creaminess takes away from the intensity of the lemon and makes this more of a candy like tea. Not overly sweet, though i suppose you could add sweetner if you wanted to. I like this AND my other half, who is sick had some too and enjoyed it!
Another from the travelling tea box. The nice thing about travelling tea boxes is that it lets you try things you wouldn’t necessarily buy for yourself. This is a pretty decent green tea. Sadly since it’s not really something i drink a lot, i couldn’t tell you how it stacks up…but i enjoyed it a bunch! :)
yes i know…blergamot. freely chosen by yours truly. this doesn’t much taste like an earl grey to me. it’s there…if i focus on it, but for the most part this tastes more like a black breakfast like tea. it might be an age thing or the result of travelling around in the box, but this is nicely subdued and overall a really pleasant cup. there’s a bit of malt there and the brew is smooth. nice!
