SIPDOWN! (208) yeah…figured i’d better get one more in tonight to make up for my lack of tea drinking on monday. I cannot believe that it’s only tuesday. It for sure feels like friday! Speaking of friday – Tall Ships are here! well they will be on thrs so that’s always exciting. Here’s hoping for some warm weather to go down to the harbourfront and check them out friday evening before we need to get packing and get organised with our house sitter. heh

I still enjoy this tea as far as greens go but i still prefer a good solid black or an herbal tisane! Thank you again lala i do love your random teas :)

Oooh we have Tall Ships Races starting here in Århus in a couple of weeks. We were going to a restaurant not too far from the harbour that weekend for our anniversary, so we decided to make it into an outing and have a go around the harbour as well.

sounds great angrboda!

SIPDOWN! I’m behind with my sipdowns for this week but that will change. I took this one with me to finish off since it was calling my name. I never found the sweet spot with this tea that resulted in a tea that tasted like it smelled but it was still a tasty cup! thank you angrboda

There’s a bunch of fusion tea samples headed your way so … drink fast :)

haha i’d totally forgotten about that! Now i really will need to hustle. Might have to “work from home” one of these days this week lol

quick notes on this one from this morning – trying to get back on top of my tea logs and notes. I pulled this one out as it’s nearly done but will take more than just 2-3 cups before it’ll be a sipdown. This tea + maple syrup = happy sil. Especially on a day like today with issue after issue. It might be what saved me from taking anyone’s head off today haha :) Like this keemun a bunch but i have grown to understand that assams>keemuns for me since i first picked this up.

(Backlog) I had this yesterday as well – i’ve only got about a cup’s worth. The rest of it is off to share with one of the pacific sisters :) I really like this one when it’s hot. It really doesn’t taste nearly as delicious when it’s cooler.

Aww, I’m a sister? :)

haha i figure you guys are totally my pacific sisters! One big happy!

feels all warm and tingly now :)

(Backlog)Pretty sure my body has shut down in preparation for vacation next week. Either than or i’m pregnant…which is a less than likely possibility. I had an incredibly long day yesterday and went to bed at 9:30….so i barely drank tea and did not log anything. But this was one of two teas i did drink yesterday and enjoyed thoroughly…and no…no sipdown lol

Yeah, I hear ya. My brain is useless this week. Deadline at work was over with last week and now I’m killing time till vacation on Friday! Lots of heavy duty Assams have been called for thus far. :)

Mini sipdown. I have officially finished up the last of my first package of this one. I have an unopened package still sitting in my cupboard but i’m fairly certain that will just be tossed into my swap box for someone who really loves this tea. Because i don’t. Not even really kind of sort of. Frank’s blueberry zabaglione is better and even that one was not the blueberry pastry/dessert tea i was hoping for. It makes me sad…i had such high hopes for this one..

(on the plus side? I’m down to 210!! I could totally make it to 200 by next weekend…which would be a week early! go me!)

10 sipdowns in a week is nothing for you! You’ve got it. You’ll be under 200 before your Verdant teas arrive. :)

Also, I totally didn’t get the fuss about this tea.

Haha ze – thanks!
Cavo – I’m waiting on kittenna to try the sample I gave her so I can find out if its another instance of reblend sucks syndrome :)

I’ll get to it :P

Wow, congrats! I need some of your determination.

Figured i should get around to trying some of my newer unopened teas, if only since that will also make them sipdowns sooner :) Especially for those that are in sample sizes! I picked this up because i wanted a tarty berry tea to cold brew in the summer. I know a lot of people would find this a little sour with the lemongrass and hibiscus but to me it’s the perfect blend to add to a splash of lemonade! Making a refreshing cup of cold tea in the summer. It’s also something that i THINK i can get my other half to drink…once i add the lemonade to it :)

drank Warm Apple Pie by sTEAp Shoppe

sipdown on this one! I’m going to have to agree with tastybrew on this one. While it’s a nice enough tea and it DOES taste like apple pie…it’s just a little muted. The flavour doesn’t POP but it is true to it’s name. the rest of this is off to a couple pieces houses so YAY for that!

Sipdown on this one as well since the last little bit of this is on it’s way out to a friend. I had a last cup of this straight since this is usually one of those matcha that i add to my coffee matcha to make it the sort of mocha matcha i want red leaf’s mocha matcha to be. On it’s own it’s still quite good but it will always be a matcha i add to other concoctions rather than one that i drink on my own. Still though, that’s likely reason enough to rotate it in!

drank Chocolate Chai by sTEAp Shoppe

sipdown on this one as well since i’m sharing my small samples with my tea sister so that she gets to figure out if she wants more steap shoppe in her life outside of the cinnamon swirl bread. :) This is a great chai! It reminds me of a few of the adagio chai’s that terri shared with me but less “make sil sneeze.” What i do NOT get from this is chocolate. I nearly added some chocolate myself. I’m with bonnie on this is a great chai but there is a distinct lack of chocolate :( Which ironically is a bit funny since 90% of the other blends that i’ve tried from janet have all had an abundance of cocoa nibs in them :) Still though..not too shabby. deducted a few points for the lack of chocolateyness

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling and am currently working on trying to get my other half to as many place in the world as possible.
