7437 Tasting Notes
My other tea from this morning. I figured since i wasn’t going to be home all day, i wouldn’t bother with samples, i’d just drink up teas that i have larger quantities of. I’ll try and get back to some samples when i work from home later this week. Still love this one, especially with a splash of maple syrup. so very tasty for an “everyday” sort of tea.
morning tea for digging in the woods. Ian managed to leave work early today so we were off to dig in the woods and build some more trail – my first experience and it was a good one. Especially satisfying to have cyclists come through and thank us for the build. Not sure it’ll be a regular thing for me but it was nice to get out, swing an axe…use a ho…dig a little and of course play with rental dog :) this tea was perfect for the cooler morning
vanilla coconut rooibos. mostly this is a creamy rooibos to me. it’s not bad..but it’s nothing to write home about. there’s nothing wrong with this, and for those who dislike that really woody rooibos, this tea is NOT that sort of rooibos. but i want more than just a creamy sort of tea when i make an evening tea :) thanks dexter!

wishlist sample from dexter! this one was pretty tasty earlier today. I really love puerh and coffee and found this tea to be pretty damn tasty. As others have said, i didn’t really register the grapefruit exactly but the coffee came through as well as the cacao from the teas and the sort of maltiness blending things together. Enjoyed a few steeps of this before taking rental dog out for his hike in the woods off leash :)
Sample from dexter this one was far more “generic nut” and slight caramel to me than really being much like a turtle. The brew was lovely to smell and it was for sure a decent tea, but it wasn’t nearly as rich as i wanted it to be. Glad for the chance to try this one though, as this was on my list of tea to pick up :) thanks dex!
Delicious! Sample from dexter While i’m always a fan of more banana…this is a really nice sweet banana tea. There’s more going on than just banana, which would be you know…banana SPLIT :) there’s strawberry and a little caramel. it’s a white tea blend, so the flavours aren’t nearly as intense as i wish they were but this is a wonderful tea.
Much better this time now that i didn’t steep it for too long. Spumoni is still not one of my favourite flavours, so this isn’t a tea for me in terms of keeping it in my cupboard, but i DO find this to be a pretty good capture of spumoni. If that was what you were looking for, i’d for sure recommend this tea :) thanks dexter!
i don’t love green teas…at least not enough to have more than a sample size in my cupboard. I just don’t reach for them often enough for me to get through them when they’re fresh. Funnily enough i seem to have a couple in my cupboard now, including this one that is very much more than a sample size. i’d had sample of it before and loved it, so i ended up buying more. thankfully, i still enjoy this tea though i’ll have to share with friends so that it gets enjoyed when it’s fresh.
grassy, seaweed..smooth…i feel like this one could be blended really nicely with some flavours for a spectactular green tea blend.
