Description here says smooth with a lingering wood taste. I have to say it certainly smells like wood, but it’s flavoured wood? lol it’s got a smooth flavour to it….it’s not like a really heavy puerh…but it is NOT for the faint of heart. I am a fan!

this is a tasty assam from what-cha. It’s more of your typical sort of assam..slightly malty, with a little sweetness. there’s no astringency here…and this is a very smooth blend and a win!

mmm final cup of this today before i tuck the rest away for Lala to try out. I think i’m having fun with all these what-cha samples. There’s something to be said for getting to try a wide sampling of teas from a company….i wish more would let you do that! Still getting the fruity notes from this…but i’m still totally not sure how i feel about this one. probably, nice to try but don’t need around?

Nicole

Yeah, their Georgia teas captured my interest.

I made this iced last night so i could drink it this morning. This is another tea that never really worked for me…and strangely enough i prefer the more accessibly david’s tea key lime…still though, sharing with friends so they might try it out so it’s not a total loss. Sharing is caring! lol

So the best part about packing up teas for friends? Finding things they either haven’t tried OR things they loved and don’t have anymore. I had a cup of this one today to wish it on it’s merry way…the rest is off to a few people who haven’t tried it or loved it much more than i ever did or will lol

picked this one up from CS because i wanted to try something that was a little different from other teas that i’ve had. Sipping this, i’m still not sure what to make of it. It reminds me of another tea that i’ve had before…this is not your typical black tea. there’s an almost plum-y depth to this while also being kind of like a bold port like drink. this is a really strong, distinct tea. Holding out on rating this until i have it a couple more times.

first cup of the morning because i really wanted to start the day with something i knew that i love. With so many samples in my cupboard, it’s hard not to rush through them all…but since they can be hit or miss, it’s nice to have a few cups of things i like for sure.

I know what you mean. There are days when I just want old favourites.

:) at least i’m finally getting to a point after 2.5yrs that i know what the old favourites are that i want hahaha

juliebeth

ooooh, i just found some of this in my tea stash that i’d never opened. perhaps i’ll start on it in the morning.

I can see why ost might not have liked these. Again, i’m finding the teas from What-cha to be just a little different than other teas that i’ve had from other companies. Not bad, just different…i’ll have to look in to whether it’s the regions or what…though i know on some of them that IS the difference.

These are deep, heavy pearls….they do have a malty taste to them but there’s also a note in here that isn’t honey…it’s a bit of a sweetness – maybe cherry? with something that could almost be smoke if you thought too hard about it lol

Ost

Aha, I think I am probably just really picky xD

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling and am currently working on trying to get my other half to as many place in the world as possible.
