NOM! This is another sample from Evol Ving Ness Decided i should have a few herbals tonight so that i get some sleep since we need to get up early tomorrow to visit PUPPIES!
My valentine’s day has consisted of cleaning up around the house and letting my husband go on TWO bike rides today while i stay home to cook him a delicious meal. haha this tea is lovely. coconut and pineapple…sweet but not cloying. I am a big fan of this one. I suspect it would be pretty damn good as a col brew as well! thanks a bunch evol!
sample from evol ving ness thanks for letting me revisit this one. I think i liked it a little better today – something about the coconut today just hit the spot. it’s still not a tea that i need to keep in my cupboard, as i’m always afraid of the coconut going rancid while it’s in the cupboard. But this is a nice one to have from time to time.
mmmm yes i’m pulling out a number of my AQ2T teas today because i waited for them forever AND i want a few NON samples before i continue on my sipdown journey this weekend. this one again smells divine in dry leaf! chocolate, orange deliciousness. Brewed, this hold true. The orange is strongest in this one, with the chocolate in the tail end of it. it works for me. I’m a fan of this one :)
Another tea from AQ2T. I didn’t have high hopes for this one as it feels like pear is a hard flavour to master out there in tea world. However, i like trying new things, and if this tea worked, it would like be a favourite as yes to vanilla, pear and cardamom. :) The dry smell of this one is very much pear and vanilla. Even though Lauren’s pictures are accurate on her storefront, i wass still a little surprised to see the giant chunks of cardamom butter. heh they are big!
Brewed, this is a subtle tea. I’m hoping that as it cools more of the pear flavour will come out, as hot, it’s more black tea with hints of flavour than anything. I get almost memories of vanilla and pear, versus truly drinking a pear/vanilla/cardamom tea. Thankfully the base tea is delicious so no complaints there, just not the tea i was looking for. I may try a cooler brew next time with a longer steep today was 200 @ 3 mins.
So sad that no one owns this tea on steepster, nor has it been reviewed. Thanks to the post office these took a long time to get here, through NO fault of Lauren’s. She’s awesome, so there. :) We decided in February to get back on track with being healthy and are working our way through a “reset” on the food front as well as weekly exercise goals. My toher half is doing something like 200km in a week of cycling and I’m trying to do a workout every day and yoga every other day in addition to work on flexibility.
What does all this have to do with the tea? Well I am currently not 100% and after a week of this reset (with a week to go) i just want all the bready, sweet delicious things i can’t have. So i made this tea today hoping it would help with the cravings.
First off, it smells AMAAAAZING. Chestnut, creamy, caramel..so insanely decadent. Brewed, it’s a great blend. You can still taste the base tea, but in addition it’s this creamy, caramel tea. The chestnut is a little weak, but it comes through at the end to sort of tie it all together. I would seriously consider picking up more of this even with the crappy dollar. noms.
noms. Sample from evol ving ness Contining my journey to try and get to 120 by the end of the weekend – which i will totally include monday since it’s a long weekend :) this one is pretty tasty! lemony, slight hint of vanilla, overall a really calm and soothing cup of tea. If i could have sweetner, i think this would be fantastic with just a splash of honey in it to make some of the flavours pop. there’s an underlying taste here that is a little sour that i love. thanks evol!
