Figured that i might as well have this one today as well to get me a little more awake. Release weekends suck…except for tea drinking lol. Thanks again for sharing this one omgsrsly. It’s not my favourite, but it’s an enjoyable smokey tea with a little extra something in the way of the spice :)

Thanks for letting me visit this one again omgsrsly. It’s a nice one that’s well balanced in terms of the spiciness. nice pick me up this morning

Fini! All done. This one wasn’t bad, but not my favourite from Stacy. It’s nice to get through this one since it’s the last of my flavoured teas from her (except for coffee and cigarettes which i’m not worried about losing it’s flavour). Now i can work on finishing up the puerh i have from her…just as soon as i get through the other 10000000000 samples from omg and dexter lol

OMGsrsly

I still haven’t even tried the puerh. It’ll just get better with age, right? Hahaha.

drank Koko Banana by Tea Centre

Tried this one again and it’s for sure confused about what it is. KOKO-nut, for sure, but banana? nu uh. Also, leaning towards dislike on this one, as the coconut has taken on that weird flavour that it gets when it’s not rancid but it’s not fresh. Thanks for sharing omgsrsly but no. ;)

Starting the morning off with this baby, though to be honest, i should have just stayed up all night. I’ve mentioned it before, shengs are not always my favourite. Give me a fabulous shou most days. I followed the instructions for loosening up this beautiful ball of tea. Thankfully, i read a few notes before to figure out how to manage this one.

Initially this is vegetal with a little bitterness at the end of the sip – i get a sense of sweetness but it disappears. In some sips it’s almost like the memory of smoke, without being smokey. It’ll be interesting to keep on with this one for the next little while, as i test and see where it takes me. more to come, and thanks omgsrsly for sending this one along!

Crimson Lotus Tea

Did you get any of the honey aroma from this one? That’s what I really like about it.

Sil

a little in the later steeps. It was really interesting! Plus i love the little ball :) keeps going forever!

Crimson Lotus Tea

It is super generous. We can brew one ball for days. It brews particularly well in Jianshui.

mmmm sad to see this one go – found the sweet spot with this one with just a tiny bit of sugar added to the cup. Just enough to cut the tartness and bring out the other flavours. Thanks for this one omgsrsly

meh. I think i just don’t love this one. it’s not a bad tea, but every time i drink it, i wish it were different. more gingerbread like and less…muted spice like.

Bio

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling and am currently working on trying to get my other half to as many place in the world as possible.
