last tea for the night. we pooped the dog out and he’s now sleeping half under the bed and half on the mat by my side of the bed. Works for me though ’cause he had me up all night last night. I had a cup of this while watching Longmire with the other half. so glad netflicks picked it up again.

Final Count: 127 (at least i might make my mini goal this weekend.. 150 to 120 over the long weekend…it could happen..i think i have enough sipdowns to get there)

meh. this tastes like largely a cup of black tea. It’s not a bad cup but i’m really not getting much in the way of spices or pumpkin. Just a malty cup of black with hints of ginger and spice. thanks variaTEA!

drank Pineapple Cilantro Cream by Butiki Teas

More of this from variaTEA good to have it in my cupboard again, temporarily even. Not as pineappley as i want it to be but it’s still a creamy sort of cilantro blend with that pineapple taste to it. noms.

More of this in my cupboard thanks to variaTEA Enjoying a cup of it this weekend because i don’t want to let this languish and become flavourless.

I’ve had this one before as well and i am still enjoying it. I think this is closer to the bottom of the bag, so the spices are a little off this time around but the base of the tea makes up for that. Malty goodness blended in to a good chai. Just have to shake things up again so that the spices blend a little better. Still though, would love to be able to pick up all the teas i love in one order instead of having to place 5 orders just to get them all..

noms. Back for a cup, i still love this blend. It reminds me of parks department from bellocq but i’m not sure if that’s a reality or just my memory playing tricks on me. I’d pick this one up again in a heart beat from WP except that it drives me INSANE that any time i go to place an order there are maybe 2 teas in stock that i want, and if i have to pay shipping, it essentially means the teas are 5$ more – and that’s hard to justify. Just once i’d love to be able to place an order with all the teas in stock.

Yup. Drives me nuts too. I usually end up adding another, only sort of wanted, cheaper tea to my cart just to make the shipping hurt less. I was super psyched when Verdant went free shipping in the US, but then they moved :(

That’s one reason why I haven’t even ordered from them before. Between the stock issues and crappy exchange rate, I just don’t think it would be worth it.

yeah…i’ve been fortunate to have gotten in an order with a few things once. then never again.

as for verdant, i don’t mind the china factor – takes less time or the same amount for getting packages to canada in all honesty.

Delicious Nicole! I was super excited to see this one in the sampling you sent me. I do love my taiwanese blacks for that honey note that tends to run through them. This one isn’t quite the same as the one from Butiki but it’s still really nice. I’d be hard pressed to decide on whether i like this one better than the TTC blacks…honey, sweet…hint of maltiness. Just a great cup of yum!

I liked this one, but overall I think I prefer the Honey Black from either Beautiful Taiwan or Green Terrace. The Taiwanese blacks are easily at the top of my preferred list these days. The Yunnans still have a high place but these are just so delicious.

i’ll have to send you some ttc when i have more in my cupboard.

Noms. Another cup of this today in a normal mug instead of the travel mug i tried it in first. I am a fan of this one. slight malt, cedar…not astringent/drying. Just delicious. so good.

this comes from missB i brewed it without looking at tasting notes and for me this was apricot chili. No mango or pineapple but a delicious apricot chili tea. In reading notes, i see it’s supposed to be mango pineapple so i should take points off for it being not the right taste for me but it’s tasty. It’s not super chili…just enough to have a bite to it while still letting the fruit taste come through. Really enjoyed this one today for something a little different!

drank Apple Custard by DAVIDsTEA

i think i like this one a little less than i used to. The chamomile in this sort of throws things off and makes my finum harder to clean. Still enjoy the apple caramel taste but i wish it was more…more apple, more caramel, custard…less chamomile.

I found I liked Forever Nuts better than this one.

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling and am currently working on trying to get my other half to as many place in the world as possible.
