15061 Tasting Notes
pulled this one out for a treat earlier this morning. This cup was particularly good, so i suspect it’s just hard to really shake up the pouches until you’ve had a cup. The base works really well here, and i like that this isn’t INTENSE strawberry, but it’s also just just a boring old strawberry black tea. noms.
allowed myself a cup of this yesterday as a treat and thank god i did. It was just the tea to get me through an obscene day at work. Some days, i swear i’m surrounded by morons who could figure out how to walk through a door if they were standing in the doorway. Love how creamy delicious this one is – just the right balance of blueberry and creamcheese for me.
Confession time – I love rainy days EVEN when i have to go in to work. Fall is pretty much my favourite time of year, so i’m more than happy that the temperatures have dropped recently (even if i don’t think they’ll stay that way). It means being able to wear sweater, drink more tea, sleep with the window open, run more easily etc.
So i treated myself to this tea today – i’ve only got about a cup’s worth left so that will soon be gone too heh. Happy Monday all!
We’re finally getting a cooler weekend and i am in love. I adore waking up to a cooler bedroom, i sleep better and usually longer, just not so much today. Decided to treat myself to a cup of tea with breakfast this morning and landed on this one. Not much new to say on this one apart from the fact that i think this tea has a great base. Not sure how many other teas of Anne’s have used this base, but i am a fan.
I can’t seem to get this one to work for the life of me. Yesterday’s cup was a little better than the first. I even added a little sugar to try and teas out some more of the flavour but for the most part it’s more like a white tea with hints of pineapple. What i did find that if i leave it to cool completely, i actually prefer it as a hot brewed, cold tea ha!
noms. I pulled this one out yesterday to have while we went adventure dogging with doggo. We checked out a new place in the area and hiked in the woods, along the river before we ended the day by taking her down to the lake to “retrieve” her toy…over and over and over and over again. I swear if we got up early and went down to the lake, we’d get through the whole day before she’d admit to being too tired to get her toy.
While i DO enjoy this tea, i still favour the blueberry creamcheese danish as it’s a little more blueberry cream. Happy to have this one back in my cupboard though as it’s still a great tea.
Apparently this is my go to tea these days. Nothing wrong with that, but it’s a little funny given the other choices i have as well. Not much new to say about this one other than it still makes me smile with how much i like this one given the laid backness of the banana in the tea ha!
mmmm this was the perfect cup this morning with breakfast. i added a little sugar to the cup and it made the banana taste a little more present. However, as i’ve said before, sfor whatever reason with this tea, i don’t necessarily want MOAR bananas. the base tea just works with the banana flavouring. I don’t think i’d change anything about this one.
Had this a couple days back. I think the more i have this one, the more certain i am that i prefer the blueberry creamcheese danish. That’s not to say that i don’t like this tea – am still enjoy this one quite a bit. But if only one had to be brought back, my vote is with the creamsheese danish one….so i’m hoarding the last of that tea that VariaTEA was kind enough to share with me :) I think it’s because this one is more custard than “creamy” while the blueberry is still very present. Either way, a nice treat to have, so no real complaints here.
I haven’t been very productive with tea drinking this month – nearly all of my samples from VariaTEA are still untouched, which for me is rare! When i have had the occasional cup, i’ve been gravitating towards my 52 tea blends versus any of my other teas or my straight teas. Not sure why, but it is what it is. I really should try this one bold, or hot brew it and then cool it off. Even though i’m not a huge mint fan these days, i like how light the mint is. Would love to see a little more ginger, but truth be told, the way it is, is likely closer to how a real ginger mint julep would taste, so no harm there :) With a little sweetner added – the ginger pops a bit more but the flavours just work. Bumping the rating up a little since this one has been really enjoyable these days.
