7609 Tasting Notes
this one comes from omgsrsly As most know, sheng’s don’t usually do it for me but i continue to experiment and try more since i have had a couple that i adored. After playing with this one this morning, i don’t mind it, but it’s not one i’d search out for myself. a young sheng – no bitterness and very easy to drink…just lacking in the excitement department for me :) thanks for sharing omgsrsly!
Another wishlist tea from dexter This seems to be a good every day sort of puerh which to me means, i don’t need to restock this because i want fantastic puerhs. I have every day blacks…when i have and take the time for puerh, i want it to be a great experience, not a decent one. That being said, there’s nothing fundementally wrong with this puerh. It’s smooth and offers slightly earthy notes (not strong) in the beginning and then tapers off to a smooth almost sweeter puerh in later steeps. this was good to kick off the morning, and i’m glad to have tried it. thanks dexter!
i don’t generally like mate, and while this is yapon or whatever…it’s classified as a “mate” type tea by davids. I figured it was worth a shot though, being as it’s not really mate. I like this one. not enough for it to live with me permanently but i am a fan and will enjoy the small amount that i have of this. It’s like an intense lemon water tea…not a lot of sweet, but it’s also not sour.
This one was on my wishlist and dexter did me a favour by sending my a little to try…or maybe it’s not a favour since i think i really enjoy this one. I’ve been drinking it this morning while doing some things around the house. We’re trying to decide if we want to go to niagara for the later afternoon/evening :)
My first steeps of this one were creamy., smooth and dark and delicious. In later steeps i get a litle more cacao, that same smooth strength and a bit of sweetness coming through. Going to keep going with this one over the afternoon i think. thanks dexter!
