3049 Tasting Notes
sipdown! even if it is a fake sort of sipdown, as i’m sending the other half of the sample terri sent me to FuzzyP :) The worst part of today? this review has been sitting open for hours and i can’t even focus enough to write it. Long story short this is a really tasty tea, though i think it’s a little too different for me to keep around always. if that makes sense. it’s fruity, but in a specific sort of peach grape way, as tastybrew said, rather than that generic “fruity” taste i get. thanks for sharing terri! this one’s neat!
this was one of my morning teas, which seems like an eternity from now. It’s been a challenging week so needless to say i haven’t been drinking much tea or having time to write much about the teas i’ve been drinking. I chose this one because it’s an oldie but a goodie. :)
haven’t had 2 seconds to write a note up on this but it was fantastic. thank you so much Tastybrew for sharing this with me in the BBB Box!
cup from yesterday…no time! No time! delicious and got me through the day!
mmmmm took a bath and had this one with me. Pretty sure it was steeped the entire time i was drinking it and it’s no worse for wear. I’m a fan of teabags/herbals that let you do that since sometimes you just can’t be bothered fishing teabags out, or dealing with loose tea on the go. Still really enjoying this one as a substitute for making actual apple cider.
mmmm i had this earlier in the day but forgot to log it. Took it with me on my afternoon walk with my other half. We won’t get much time to spend together over the next couple of days – he’s got a staff meeting tonight, and then tomorrow i’ve got a work function to go to, while he’s at dodgeball so really, we won’t be hanging out until tuesday dinner, before he’s off to raid for the evening. heh
I will be sad when this one is gone if only because i am a fan of the smoothness mixed in with the smoke and a little maple syrup :)
Thanks Dexter! So strangely enough…even though the muscatel in this one is like HEY LOOK AT ME! I am enjoying this one. I don’t typically really enjoy darjeelings, but the next thing i knew, i was at the bottom of this mug going ..oopsy….i drank it all? There’s something in the smoothness of this one that just makes it easy to drink and rather enjoyable. Not something i’d pick myself, but i’m glad that they sent this along to dexter as a free sample so i got to try it!
Edit: 140! go me! woot woot!
Today’s cup of this is much less coconut-y and more fruity tasting?? Thats happened with a few teas today so maybe my tastebuds are having a weird day. This is an interesting tea, though the difference today is pretty huge from the first time i had it. I like it, but it wouldn’t be a repurchase, which makes me a little happy since getting this from Australia would be a pain in the ass :) Thanks so much for the share though alice as it’s been an enjoyable cup :)
sipdown! looks like i could PROBABLY get to 140 this weekend which would put me 10 under my sipdown black friday goal – giving me nearly 3 weeks to get my cupboard down to a point where when i get my black friday orders, i’ll still be under 150. At least that’s the plan anyway.
I am a fan of this one. I can see how this would work well with hot chocolate…mostly i just really like this one. I only wish the banana flavour was a teeeeeny bit stronger. I almost stole some banana chips from foxy roxy haha but i didn’t. Thanks a bunch for sharing james! totally delicious! i also like that the resteeps are pretty tasty too!
that settles it. i prefer this western brew 4-5 cones for 4 mins or so rather than gaiwan. heh I saved one little cone to try out with my gaiwan and while it’s a pleasant enough cup, i like the depth of flavour you get from a western brew much better. :) thanks for the share terri!
