SNOW DAY! Ok so not really, because things are still open and what not but this is the first day of “real” snow we’ve had…some that might stick around and i’m SUPER EXCITED! totally stayed home to work so i could take a break and be able to play in the snow. yes i’m a child lol. kicked off the morning with some JW – here’s hoping they can come out to the toronto tea festival this year or next :)
Final tea from today – having a slacktacular tea drinking day after “binge-ing” on tea all weekend. So there’s wine now…and that’s delicious. This tea is growing on me the more i have it, so maybe there’s a particular time of year for me to get behind jin jun mei’s…. still working on figuring that out. heh
Wishlist tea from dexter and my last puerh for today. I’ve been sipping on this one all afternoon – i prefer wild monk cake form, but it was nice to revisit this one over the afternoon. Steeped at cool temps for short infusions, a mild tea, with just a little sweetness to it. There’s some smokey notes, but not as strong with the cake. a slight bitterness in later steepings but overall very enjoyable. thanks dexter!
Final Count: 124 (since i doubt i’ll get more sipdowns in tonight if i have more tea.)
had a cup of this in an effort to get working on drinking up the fancy french teas that are less to my liking, that i largely picked up to share with others here who like things other than black teas haha. This is still a delicious cup of peach green tea – different from your usual “tim horton’s peach flavoured drink tea” :)
Dexter sent more of this my way – a good validation that i DO still want this on my wishlist to buy eventually. This is still creamy and deliciously smooth, with no earthiness to it. over the course of multiple steepings this changes to a fruitier sort of tea – jam/fig notes and then eventually there are some slight vanilla notes, but not too strong. This is a great puerh. Thanks Dexter!
