5937 Tasting Notes
I’ve been doing my best to try and use my little teapot at least once a week. It’s my first tea pot and needs some serious love before it’ll be all awesome sauce. Doing so though, also gives me an excuse to drink special dark every week haha. I am a fan of this puerh – have been since i first tried it way back when. I really enjoy getting to have a few dozen steepings of this and watching the flavours change. Hopefully my little pot will appreciate it!
i treated myself to this one last night. I’m trying to take my time drinking through the bit that i purchased since i’m not likely to be picking it up on a regular basis. Unless there’s a sale it’s hard to justify the price for a tea that isn’t travel mug friendly EVEN if it IS delicious. I need my teas to be able to handle travel mugs, if only because the vast majority of my tea is had via that means. Not the most amazing way to drink tea but there are limited options at work otherwise. Going to call it a new day now, and land my final count for Friday at 80. On the upside, i’m still at my goal for this month with a couple more days left in the month before i’m travelling again heh.
Final Count: 80
having a cup of this while i decide on which puerh to drink up today. I’d like to have at least 2 since i’ve got another 17 hrs before i sleep…wheeee! i do find it relaxing at least on release weekends…and this IS my last one until January.
I still enjoy this one with a splash of honey. I think though, when i made it, i really wanted kaphaa lol so maybe that will be next. maybe :)
steepster is frustrating me again. Seems like every evening it starts running in to problems loading things and behaves all wonky. this was the case last night when i was trying to update my cupboard. tonight it’s still giving me grief….which doesn’t bode well for me when i know i’m going to be up all night.
this particular tea is really tasty. I’m for sure getting a better cheesecake/plum flavour balance than the irish cream one from a while back. the plum for me on this one is subtle and comes across after the cheesecake taste. delicious!
hmmmmm not sure how i feel about this one. It’s mostly just not appley enough for me. even though it’s an oolong, i DO enjoy this one a bunch, but it’s more caramel oolong to me than anything even sort of apple like…which is funny given some of the other reviews that mention no caramel :) Still enjoying it but may have to play with it a little and/or not drink it out of my crappy travel mugs haha
