7440 Tasting Notes
i have been thoroughly enjoying this one from omgsrsly Nice to have this one back in my cupboard to remind me why i need to place another mandala order sooooooon! especially with new teas coming in the near future that are for those of us who love special dark. Not much to say on this one that hasn’t already been said. delicious. wonderful. yay for tea and tea friends!
this tea is all over the place. popcorn, apple bits, toffee, black tea, oolong lol… but it smells delicious. in the grand scheme of things, this isn’t bad but it’s nothing spectacular. The flavour comes across as an almost typical tofee flavoured tea. I’m not getting anything new from the popcorn, though there’s a hint of sweetness in the background of this one that makes the tea a little lighter than your usual black toffee tea. Not too shabby but not intensely amazing either :)
pulled this one out today to try since it’s been a while. Was blown away by the orange smell of the dry leaf. Brewed it’s a creamy orange black tea – i suspect the vanilla is softening the orange flavour. It’s quite tasty and very much seems to me like something that should be had when there’s snow on the ground – a cool winter evening, where the stars have started to come out and there’s a fresh light snow falling.
This is an interesting one. this comes to me from MissB and is tightly compacted. I let is sit for a while after a 10 sec steep. almost all the water was absorbed in to the cake. My first couple of steeps of this one, i was getting an almost menthol like taste…bordering on mint…but really faintly. it was a weird experience. the aroma of the tea however, was much more earthy/leathery like. Later steeps the tea was much more cedar and wood with almost an aftertaste of smoke but not strong.
this was an interesting tea and one i might consider purchasing in the future.
