mmmmm this was a shared purchase from the toronto tea festival between Cavocorax and i. I’m only just now getting a chance to try it out, but i swore she had it before me. Seems like steepster ate her note or i’m imagining things. :)

I’ve been brewing this gonfu this afternoon….im’ not getting a citrus note…just a sweet mineral like note that turns almost cocoa-y…maybe? I think i need a few more steepings..haha more to come but i’m happy with this pick from zhen tea!

I did! I swear I even added it to the system? I remember I did it as a gongfu style cup and it really, REALLY, tasted like mushrooms. So savory and weird. It took a few cups (in our new teaware!) to get that to calm the heck down and taste better.

ok phew…glad i wasn’t imagining things..

Pretty sure this is the first hei cha that i’ve had – again courtesy of my tea sister Terri Sadly, all i remember about this tea was it’s really unique taste…and finding myself at the bottom of the cup way too quickly. I’m glad i have more to have again when i can get a proper tasting note up for it. :)

so the best part about small samples? getting to fill up your friends tea boxes with tea as you drink your samples haha. Oh….the joys of tea sharing :) While i like this tea…i think i’m over it. It’s just not amazing enough for me to want to keep it in my cupboard. Dropping the rating a little since it’s staying power with me didn’t seem to be there.

mmmm these have grown on me. this time there’s a darker flavour running through them – much more malty and chocolatey. There’s still a fruitiness to them but today these are really tasty. :)

Another from my dearest tea sister Terri This one has notes in it that remind me a bit of an oolong while still falling on that sort of bready kinda of tea. this one isn’t my favourite but it’s still been a nice cup of tea this morning while i work from home. I had this one while setting up the slower cooker this morning for pulled pork tonight! woohoo!

mmmmmm this one is from terri and THIS is a Jin Jun mei that i can get behind and am quite enjoying. There’s something about the way this one comes together being sweet with almost honey like notes and yet not falling in to the wimpy side of things. thanks a bunch for sharing terri!

Sounds tasty! Added to my wishlist.

drank Doudou délice by Les Jardins de Gaia

another from MissB and i’m going to side with her on this one. For me this was a giant cup of rooibos without a lot of flavour. it wasn’t woodsy rooibos but it was unmistably rooibos…with a little side of sweet and not a lot of anything else. boooo. However, on the plus side this brings my cupboard down to 155 even with my addition to the cupboard today as i was able to swing by David’s tea and pick up some key lime before it’s gone for good. heh.

Final Count: 155

Heh. Doudou sounds like my french alter-ego :P

Doudou means “Darling” in French creole and we often use it in France as a nickname for children or between husband/wife. this is very sweet

So no real clue what to write about myself here. A friend got me into drinking loose tea and it’s something I thoroughly enjoy though I have nowhere near the experience that many folks on the boards seem to have.

My other interests are cycling, reading, board games, disney cruises, world of warcraft and dancing – in no particular order. I love travelling and am currently working on trying to get my other half to as many place in the world as possible.
