15074 Tasting Notes
This was on my wishlist and variaTEA obliged! I have to say, that this is a really good cup of tea. I’ve only had the one steep right now, but plan on having a few more today while i get through work. It’s smooth, some sweet potato like notes coming through…sweet and not at all astringent. This isn’t a BOLD brew but rather more of an easy drinking tea – a good intro tea for someone who wasn’t really a fan of black tea i would say.
Count: 110 (down from the 120 VariaTEA has me up to….need to get to 80 by end of july…)
brewed this hot, drank it mostly cooled heh. I like this one…a little strawberry, a little apple…some pear. Light in flavour but sweet, not sour like a lot of fruit herbals. I’d pick this one up again i think even with the light flavour because it’s smooth and different than other blends. thanks variaTEA!
nope. nope nope nope nope nope. Not sure what’s going on here but there’s a chemical like taste here – could not drink. One of frank’s blends i suspect, so would give it a shot from liberteas…but otherwise NOPE. (thank variaTEA! hahaha)
mmm thanks for the revist on this one variaTEA only thing to say here really is that i’m glad this is still delicious esp after frank’s awful mishaps with it. go go liberteas!
frank’s was an awful 45 rating… this version back up
I packed your bag so long ago that I don’t event remember adding all these in lol. Sorry I couldn’t give you larger quantities to enjoy. Also, I think this might actually have been Frank’s blend since it’s quite old but it was definitely one of the ones he fixed.
hmmmm this one is kinda flavourless even with the giant berry in it. I was hoping for a much more pronounced flavour even though it’s a white tea. Sadly this is really light and disappointing. I do however appreciate the share variaTEA as this is one i would have built in to a cart :(
more orange than truffle today but that’s ok. I had this earlier today before we went out to try and get Ruby used to being a trail dog. She’s still a little young for long adventures but we’re gradually getting her there. Plus she got to jump in the river today – that’s twice this weekend!
another one from variaTEA – there will be lots of those coming in my tasting notes as i work through her samples in between trying to get some older teas drunk up. this was one i was hoping to try and i’m glad that i did. I didn’t get an overly sweet tea out of this one – rather it was a nice black tea with a sweetness hanging out in the background. Not sure if i need to jump on the bandwagon to get this again when/if it comes back, but i’d round out my cart with this if it was around. thanks for sharing madam!
Tea sent to me by a Tea Story. Ceylons tend to get a bad wrap around here – they’re often too brisk/coppery for a lot of folks or people think of red rose sort of experiences. I’ve had a few really great ceylons but this one is super. Missing from this cup is that brassy/copper note that a lot of ceylone have. Instead this is very smooth and easy to drink. Resteeps of this were also great – not diminishing in the flavour. Looking forward to trying a few more from a Tea Story if this is my first experience with them.
thanks so much for the sample!
