6338 Tasting Notes
for those that haven’t been around in recent history….today/tonight/tomorrow is an all nighter for me..or almost one anyway. Heading to napville at the moment so that i can get a couple hrs in before i’m up until saturday evening. it’s the last of our upgrades for the next few months…but man..this is going to be a long one…hence the perfect excuse for sipdown saturday/sunday. this was the tea to kick off my day and i’ll be glad for it by the time i get through this weekend!
This was a tea from yesterday…with the maintenance and getting packages in the mail i needed time to get things in to my cupboard lol. My high count for the moment is 128..though if everything on it’s way arrived tomorrow i’d be closer to 160 + extra teas from missB I’m ok with that though, since that means i get to spend the rest of 2015 working my way back down to 50. Yep…that’s my goal for year end lol. Strangely, i’ve sort of been gravitating to this one in the evening…maybe for that pop of “sunshine” in these colder winter days. With a teeny bit of sweetner, this one really works for me hot and cold.
I also had this tea last night, brewed hot…and it made me realise how much i love this tea when it’s cold brewed, steeped in part apple juice. LOL I vastly prefer it that way for that sweet, sour tang. Just trying to help keep my system primed and ready to keep fighting all the sick that is going on at work these days.
Experiment time! I’m home today so i figured it would be the perfect opportunity to compare both of tao’s rice tuo’s side by side.
1st steep – this one remains largely intact versus the sheng…the brew is a light golden liquor and the aroma is slightly rice like and also slightly…sweet? This one tastes like rice at the get go…the brew is a little, almost bitter but not quite, and then mellows almost immediately in my mouth to a smooth brew…
