oh man…if this wasn’t so sweet, it’d be pretty good. I love the pistachio flavour, but then you’re hit with a whole wackload of sweetness, that i suppose it meant to emulate ice cream but just makes this too sweet. It’s also hard to believe that this is a black tea because i don’t really taste the base at all. it’s not as over the top in the sweetness department as the raspberry cream pie thank god, but i would ADORE this if it were less sweet.

I went shopping in my cupboard this morning. I wanted a new black to try and this one ended up getting pulled out. So glad. I need to have this one again tomorrow to really form an opinion but after a couple steeps this morning i am a fan. It’s not a super intense strong black, but it’s got great body to it and has that whole malty, chocolate, fruit thing going on that i love. thank goodness it’s a win, since it’s one of many teas i picked up from bellocq without having ever tried them. yay for wedding presents from tea friends heh

Pulled this one out to start my day. I wanted something delicious as we managed to sleep in today. I’ve got some errands to run and no energy to do so…then it’s board games tonight and we start sitting rental dog for a couple days tomorrow as well. I like that this one has a lovely base to complement the other things going on in this brew. it always reminds me of being outside. so good.

Another one from last night. Thankfully i have a little more to give this one another try. From what i recall last night – there is a LOT of sugar in this one. You know it’s bad when the second ingredient in the list is cane sugar….followed by white chocolate. and then pink sugar mix. IE. diabetics beware. it makes me sad though because this one had the most potential for deliciousness….instead it was more sweet than tangy raspberry and the brew turns into a slightly shiny, weird watery looking thing. Not a bad tea, as i did drink it but again, i won’t need more of this beyond my 10g or whatever i picked up.

ugh. No one has added the new davids teas to the database…and their website doesn’t really have them either so you get what i’ve done for now haha. I picked these up yesterday as motivation to get to my step count. Sadly i pretty much drank this one without really focusing on it last night. It’s more fruit tea than green tea IMO. I quite enjoyed the pinappley, coconut, apple taste that this one had. it might actually be a decent cold brew as well, however i didn’t love it enough to think about going back to pick up more. It was refreshing and tasty but i’m good with my giant mug from last night.

Another sample from evol ving ness this one isn’t as bad as others seem to think. The main problem is the abundance of licorice causing the sweetness to be a little overwhelming. there are other flavours here but the licorice sweetness buries a lot of it.

i think that’s 3 for 3 on this tea. Not good. Christina saved this for me to try. it’s like…it’s flat. or something. the very very very start of the sip is chocolatey and gets your hope up, and then everything else that this tea brings is like a giant slap in the face, it’s so bad. like ick. the contradiction of that potential followed by awful disappointment is just no.

tea from christina this one is my first teasenz tea and it’s so pretty! giant, flat, sometimes transluscent leaves. the tea itself isn’t knock your socks off but it’s pretty good :) it’s a really light tea with sort of bean notes. thanks for sharing christina!

noms. GCTTB this is delicious! I don’t love green teas all the time, but there are a few out there who make me want to keep a couple in my cupboard. This is one of those. It’s fruity and sweet, with an almost nutty flavour profile in the background? almost? it’s not super vegetal but being a green tea, there’s some of that. mostly though, it’s sweet and delicious.

Delicious cup of this today. I am enjoying having some of my older teas today since i don’t really have the focus today for puerh. At least this way i’m exploring some of my older teas while also getting through some of my samples. I am starting to get through some of my straight teas as well, so i pulled a new one to try next week from me "recently purchased but not yet open box. Still have a ways to go to get to my Feb goal though. Today this cup is just smooth and old. i can’t really do it justice today but i’m super glad i was able to have a cup during some downtime at work so i could just sit with it.
