7525 Tasting Notes
Initial thoughts on this tea? MOAR BANANA… albeit once it starts to cool off, the banana does make a bit more of a mark in this one. my initial take was that it was too green oolongy for me, but as the tea cools, that OOLONG taste rolls away and blends more with the banana. i like that this isn’t fake banana – it’s ripe, tasty banana. noms.
I had this one yesterday and I think i nede to have it again before finalising my thoughts on this one. truth be told i was expecting the strawberry to be a little more present. The coconut in this is lovely, and i’m not a huge coconut fan. not sure i really got the whole sponge cake vibe but like i said, need to try this one again :)
last of the new teas that i tried this weekend…i think. this one has smokey notes to it but in the way that really works with the tea. It’s not in your face smoke, rather it’s like the smoke you sometimes get in bourbon. Over all, after tasting a few of these newer august uncommon teas, i understand their descriptions a bit better in terms of what the tea might taste like. Really having fun with these.
Final Count: 123 (down to 55 in a month is totally doable..riiight? fml)
sweet mother loving crap this one was delicious. Those of you who have been around a while, know that i adore mousse au chocolat from mf. this is as brilliant as that tea, while being a very different tea. black tea base? check. chestnut? check. rich chocolate? check. seriously. I wish i’d picked up a tin of this one.
i keep feeling like all the entries for the NEW 52 teas should be under something like that. I guess my thought is, that it’s hard to weed out the ratings for the old stuff versus the new stuff. Luckily though, this is still pretty tasty to me. It’s for sure more caramel black than pumpking cheesecake…but it was still an enjoyable cup. that being said, this was another tea from the weekend so better to wait for another review haha
