7674 Tasting Notes
Pulled this one out after wandering for the afternoon. I’m trying to get back in to exercising, so this week i’ve been actively pushing myself to get back up to my step count goal in addition to at minimum 3 days with exercise outside of walking (cardio, yoga etc..). Nice to revisit this one as i think it’s one of the best apricot teas that i’ve had. Nice to have something that isn’t peach! plus it’s a black base..so yeah!
noms. i pulled this one out because i have so many fancy french teas that i need to drink and i always enjoy them just a little more when i’m home. I’d forgotten how lovely the pear in this one is and unique, because of the black tea base. I find pear is generally paired with a green tea base, which isn’t my favourite. this though, is pear….and a great base. I see in my other note i was going to add a little sugar but i didn’t do that this time, will try next time :)
pulled this out today – so many teas and now i’m going to see how long i can go without making a purchase. No trips planned and i just got my order in from bellocq, so i think i can do this. Ideally i’d like to get my cupboard down to the 50 that i wanted it to be at by the end of the year, though that isn’t going to happen anymore (i’ll be lucky if i can get to 75 which is what i started this year at). I like how this has changed since it came out. Much more delicious now that it’s a little older – smoother and maltier :)
I couldn’t resist having this one today after smelling it. Cranberry, orange deliciousness. Honestly i am in love with the dry aroma of this one. Brewed, this might be my favourite of the 3 that i’ve tried so far. It’s got the tang from the cranberry but it’s still orange, christmas cider…if that makes sense. I did find that it’s best tasted as it’s cooled a little but before it gets closer to cold. I had to add a tiny bit of sugar because i let it cool off too much and the sharpness of the cranberry came through a little too much. But a tiny bit of sugar and it was delicious again :)
another one from the 51 teas kickstarter. This was the one i was most excited about (though let me tell you the orange, cranberry cider smells AMAAAAZING) because it has laoshan tea in it from verdant. The final execution of this? Not bad, but not as deliciously amazing as i’d hoped. This is nice though…peppermint, chocolate and the marshmallow rounding out the flavours and blending them together a little. I’m going to enjoy drinking the rest of this :)
