4825 Tasting Notes
i am dragging today. Last night we were up way too late and then i was up way too early this morning. I’m so not a night owl…so if i am up past midnight my body generally revolts the next day. I decided hat today is going to be a butiki day because i have a bunch of teas from stacy that i haven’t yet had a chance to have more than a cup from, and i’m looking at placing another order in the near future…so i need to know what i want more of besides “everything” :)
Second round of having both of these today and i’m at a loss for which i like more. Both have slight differences in their taste but not overly so.
This was my last tea from yesterday. I cannot even tell you how satisfying yesterday was. We finally got to play Brass again – still one of our favourite games that we don’t get to play often. We played a few others, had some pizza and relaxed and then we were all pretty pooped and ready to go home…at like 10pm. But then someone said “rockband?” and before you knew it…we were 4 hours later going home hahaha good times were had by all. This was my “travelling home” tea and may, i love it. This was another one of verdant teas that i picked up 4oz of back in December and am down to my last ounce or so… the only reason it’s not done is because during the day i tend to reach for vanilla spice first as i like it just a little better heh
Final Count: 139
One cup left of this. Thankfully i saved my leaves from yesterdays cup of this and will be able to drink a few more steeps of this today, thus saving the last cup for a no good very bad day in which i need a pick me up. Seriously…if anyone out there has these and doesn’t want theirs….my house welcomes them lol
more teas from yesterday! This one gets better and better every time i have it. While it’s totally nothing like LB from verdant, i feel like if i could no longer have LB…this one might be a suitable substitute (note the use of the word substitute, not replacement). Bumping the rating a little because this malty chocolatey tea has been great to drink recently as i work on getting through my bag of this (it’s one of my oldest teas because i always forget about it!)
another from yesterday and the lovely dexter This one was pretty close to teas a creamy caramel, vanilla cup though sadly that isn’t butterbeer to me, AND since i’ve recently had both tea G’s cream tea and caramel tea, this one feel short. It was still a nice enough cup to drink, but i’d reach for Tea G’s first :)
time to catch up on yesterdays teas! We went out last night to a friends for board games and didn’t get home until about 6 hours ago, so i had no time for tea notes :) Dexter sent this one to me as a surprise with a few other of the potions teas from Adagio. This one is labelled as apricot, cream and vanilla. Sadly, i was getting mostly a peach sort of flavour, which is most assuredly NOT apricot. All that being said though, it was a nice cup of peach vanilla tea, and while i’ve been “off” of most peach teas lately, this one didn’t trigger any “omg no no no no no peach!” feelings from me this round :) Thanks dexter!
farewell banana tea! i will miss you! I had this one with caramel from tea G….and let me tell you…soo good! i didn’t have enough of this for a sil sized cup so i figured, why not add caramel for a caramel chocolate banana tea! To be honest, the chocolate is muted, so it was mostly a caramel banana….but still soo good. I’ll be getting more of this in future! :)
dexter sent this one my way as a surprise so i figured i should try it out this weekend as i’m puttering around trying to get ready for games night! This one is pretty tasty, but there’s a weird after taste to it that i’m not a fan of. It smells delicious and the brew is a smooth cup of tea. there are some honey notes to this, though not as much as some of the taiwanese blacks that i’ve had from stacy or TTC. It would be great, if not for the after taste. Thanks for letting me try this one dex!
