8 Tasting Notes

Quangzhou Milky Oolong from Jade Leaves
98

absolutely my favorite tea. I wish Jade leaves still existed! :-(

Mt Huang Sparrow Tongue from Jade Leaves
82

very delicate tea – treat accordingly so you can taste the more subtle notes :-)

otherwise ends up very vegetal but still quite drinkable just not the superior tea it is!

breakfast black on VirginAmerica from Teance
75

very smooth and soothing

not too harsh or bold
but kinda misses the risker aspects of my favorite
Comforting – perfect for flying.

Chan tea from Jade Leaves
93

It really opens up on the 2-3 steeping with caramel notes that I love.

very energetic tea even without the caffeine.

This and milky oolong are my two favorite teas.

pu-erh loose leaf 7-8 yr from the teaspot
80

a nicer pu-erh

though I like to remind everyone that even a looseleaf pu-erh benefits from a quick hot water “wash” before steeping. A wonderful trick I learned from @alaw

Yin Zhen (Silver Needle) from Canton Tea Co

though unfortunate mine is not this vintage of 2009…

so a bit weaker though I must note that for a white tea this has held on much longer than I would have expected.

Organic African Nectar from Mighty Leaf Tea
Quangzhou Milk Oolong from Merkaba

one of my favs esp the 3rd steeping
it becomes down right creamy melting
