drank Hojicha by Capital Teas

My third bag of tea purchased from Julian tea cottage.
Best way to d describe this tea is “balanced” I can’t seem to find a time when this tea isn’t suitable… bedtime, morning, dinner, and mid-meal; this tea goes with everything. Not particularly flavourful, aside from some love roasted, nutty, mosquito notes, but that’s most likely what gives it this versatility. Very much recommended.

Silvia’s choice at the Julian tea cottage.

Yuck! Disgusting, putrid, vile, utter crap. Horrible stuff. Ugh…. Tatses like hot medicine. It’s probably very good for someone who likes fruit teas, I’m not that person.

Purchased from Julian Tea Cotttage.
Nice little genmaitcha, but nothing to set it apart from others. It’s your basic toasty rice green tea, good for anytime any day.

Preparation
190 °F / 87 °C 1 min, 15 sec 2 tsp 16 OZ / 473 ML

Bought from Julian tea cottage.
Oh yeah! This is the stuff! My first Lapsang Souchong and it’s brilliant. Lovely woodsy, Smokey, tobacco, Whiskey aroma and taste. This has just become a staple in my cupboard and apart of my morning routine. I like everything about this tea; everything.

Preparation
200 °F / 93 °C 2 min, 45 sec 1 tsp 10 OZ / 295 ML

Tried this mediocre bad boy at cheesecake factory with the missus. Went well with the burger I had, nice strong flavour. The tea flavour was somewhat lacking but it had a nice “umph”.

Preparation
185 °F / 85 °C 2 min, 0 sec 1 tsp 16 OZ / 473 ML

drank Apple Cinnamon by Teaopia

This was a free sample from the Julian tea cottage. Overall it’s not impressive. Couldn’t taste much apple or cinnamon, but the black base was quite nice. There could’ve been more apple or cinnamon to justify its namesake, but then again these fruity teas aren’t my thing anyway..

Preparation
Boiling 6 min, 0 sec 1 tsp 9 OZ / 266 ML

Tea at the Julian Grill with dinner. Not terribly good stuff. But it worked alright with my Chicken Julian salad. So far, nothing impressive about this brand.

Preparation
Boiling 5 min, 45 sec 1 tsp 16 OZ / 473 ML

One of the teas available in our B&B room on vacation to Julian. Tastes like minty chamomile; as expected from reading the ingredients. Nothing I’d ever buy, but it was just sitting there in the room so why not.

Preparation
Boiling 5 min, 45 sec 1 tsp 16 OZ / 473 ML

drank Sweet Dreams by Bigelow

Relieved a certain office of a bag of this, and a few other Bigelow blends. It’s not really my thing, but I wanted to try it, just to say I did on here. Chamomile isn’t anything I care about so my review will be biased.

Dry bag smells mostly of mint, and a tad bit of chamomile. Steeped is mostly the same but the hibiscus really comes out. Brownish liquid with chamomile aroma.

I used the bag because I wasn’t in the mood to clean up after making a proper tea, so, meh…

Boiling 6 min, 0 sec
